The position You will be part of an area providing support in shaping and driving the SVP agenda within Global Drug Discovery (GDD) and outside GDD with key Novo Nordisk stakeholders. This will also require driving business initiatives across the SVP area on behalf of and in close alignment with the Vice President (VP). This position will report to the VP of Strategy & Digital in Global Drug Discovery. Your main responsibilities will include:
  • Driving complex projects across categories like strategy, organisational development, cultural development etc., both within GDD and other parts of the value chain
  • Drive GDD input to corporate projects and therapy area (TA) strategies
  • Support SVP and GDD leadership team setting short- and mid-term goals, and run relevant business wheel processes together with e.g. R&ED Finance
  • Drive analyses and provide actionable recommendations on strategic challenges and opportunities affecting SVP areas
  • Connecting the dots between different activities across Research & Early Development (R&ED) and towards Development and Commercial
  • Actively build and utilise own network to drive GDD development and impact
    • Qualifications You have a relevant university degree. This could be in biological, medical, or pharmaceutical science, social sciences, engineering, etc., but likely also coupled with work history within the pharmaceutical industry. To be successful in this position, we think you might be able to tick some of the following boxes:
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant professional experience working within strategy, project/programme management in healthcare, perhaps even within Research & Development
  • Worked in an Executive Office or as an Executive Assistant and/or strategy function in a mid or large size pharmaceutical company, alternatively experience from a consulting firm, preferably having worked within healthcare
  • Fluency in oral and written English
    • As a person, you have excellent communication skills and thrive in a diverse, inter-disciplinary organisation. You are collaborative, determined to make a difference, and excel at driving both simple tasks and complex projects that can shape the strategic priorities of Global Drug Discovery. About the department GDD Strategic Development is part of Global Drug Discovery which is a central area in ‘Research & Early Development’ at Novo Nordisk.
