Brüel & Kjær Vibro is one of the leading independent supplier of condition monitoring equipment and solutions for rotating machinery. The company’s worldwide network of branch offices and representatives strengthens the position in all important markets. Brüel & Kjær Vibro employs a total of 230 employees, of which about 30 are based in the Danish Head Office in Nærum. The customer base includes major production companies within the oil, petro and power industries.
The Wind Service Group works as one Team in 3 individual locations worldwide in order to enable systems and software to perform remote monitoring of especially Wind Turbines, i.e. CMS (Conditioning Monitoring System). Over the recent years the CMS business has experienced growth across many customer segments and faces challenging and growing demands on the Company’s services and products.
With the objective to support and develop these activities Brüel & Kjær Vibro is seeking a Project Manager to join the team in Nærum, north of Copenhagen.
Communication and development
In this position you will be responsible for:
• Involvement of the handover of projects from Sales
• Creation of Project plan across all involved parties
• Coordinating delivery, installation and commissioning of hardware & software
• Ensure all relevant documentation of a Project
• Establish handover of projects to the Remote Monitoring
The right candidate will be able to work independently, but in close alignment and co-operation with the other team members and the customer’s service organization. You should possess solid project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, elaborate and apply planning charts, and monitor the progress & budget. In addition, the ideal candidate should also be a strong communicator and be able to deal with customers at high level of professionalism. Thus, ensuring efficient project execution, leading to full customer satisfaction and creating sustainable commercial relationships.
Moreover, the perfect candidate will also have a good understanding of basic vibration measurement and analysis techniques. Skills in network configuration and installation are also important, as this position also involves troubleshooting both new and existing CMS installations.
Technical mindset
Your working style is thorough and well-structured, and therefore you are not afraid of thinking out of the box. You are able to accommodate and translate relevant project information into an optimal project flow, and you find it stimulating to be a member of an international environment. Being efficient, you manage to stay ahead, and when needed you are able to compensate with an extra effort to consistently perform according to objectives.
Preferred candidates should have experience in project management in the wind sector, in installation of mechanical and electrical components, and in installation of HW/SW and associated networks. They should also hold a university degree in a technical field (i.e. electrical or mechanical engineering) and have received training or possess certification in project management.
Candidates should also be highly skilled in compiling documents, and strong English language skills are important as they will need to communicate with both colleagues and clients in English. Approximately 30 days of international and local travel are expected.
