Job Description
Danfoss Heating Segment in Nordborg is looking for a Project Manager within Digital Controls to drive the digital platform of the future. In this role you will build products within electronic controllers and drive the change of thinking when developing new products by making a personal impact on platform strategies and reuse of components for faster project execution.
You will have the opportunity to use your extensive understanding of the agile development process and empower a team to become high performing while demonstrating core consulting skills and methodology to obtain great results. You steer your team by proactively mitigating risks, resolving issues and escalating show stoppers to key stakeholders. You will be part of the Digital Controls team whose mandate it is to develop new products and platforms for electronic controllers and energy meters. You will work closely with members from all part of the Heating Segment and, through this close collaboration, you ensure the success of the project.
Key stakeholders in this role will be Customers, R&D management, Portfolio, Supply Chain and Procurement, but, also, external subcontractors and consultants.

Main areas of responsibility:
- Empower and encourage the core project team to act and ensure delivery of the project.
- Conduct Scrum Ceremonies for one or more scrum teams.
- Identify and track team velocity, financials and other critical metrics in relation to the project/program and its plan.
- Drive the development and delivery of technical products and solutions for our customers which involves hardware, software and mechanics.
- Use technical knowledge to provide design alternatives and support your team in technical issue resolution.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to prioritize, plan and execute development schedules in-line with product development initiatives and regulatory needs.
- Optimize project value through analyzing and balancing risk, cost, scope and timeline and understand the impact on the project deliverables.
- Clearly communicate project status, decision requests and risks/issues to Senior Management, as well as, advice and influence decision making by presenting options and recommending actions.
Background and skills:
We are looking for a high-energy Project Manager with proven and strong working experience in project management, preferably, within large engineering/design projects. Your professional integrity guarantees strong stakeholder management, allowing Senior Management to have confidence in execution, progress and deliverables.
Furthermore, you have/are:
- Industry experience, managing projects with a high level of technical complexity, working with front-end product concept development and innovation and leading your project team.
- Experience facilitating Agile, Scrum or other rapid application development teams to deliver technology solutions on time, on budget, and to spec.
- A Bachelor degree or higher, within the field of IT/Engineering, giving you a solid technical understanding.
- Speak and write English fluently.
- Pro-active and result-oriented mindset and strong decision-making skills and you enjoy working both independently and in teams.
- An adaptable self-starter who is skilled at creating structure in ambiguous environments.
