Project Manager for implementing agile ways of working


Would you like to drive a standardization of agile ways of working across Global IT, and do you have experience with agile project management?

At Demant, you have the chance to join us on our journey of implementing Azure DevOps and Lean Portfolio Management across the IT organization and YOU get to shape the future.

We are looking for a junior project manager, agile coach or SPC who likes to be in front of new initiatives and is ready to step into a more leading role. You need to have experience with agile transformations and understand the dynamics of an IT organization moving from classical project management towards an agile delivery organization.

Joining team IT Projects & Portfolio management

You will join our team IT Projects & Portfolio Management. We are responsible for driving cross-functional projects across IT and the business, and for implementing Lean Portfolio Management, governance, and project excellence. We are a small team of four project managers, and you will become part of a community of practice with 20+ skilled projects managers. In the job you will also work together with architects, application consultants, developers and businesspeople.

The role as Project Manager for implementing agile ways of working

You will be planning, managing, and driving the implementation of Azure DevOps across product teams and major development projects. Some teams are centered around core IT solutions like infrastructure and platforms, and other teams are customer focused digital solutions. Similar, some teams have a high agile maturity, and other teams will start with the basic.

The implementation of Azure DevOps and standard agile ways of working, support our overall ambition about strengthening portfolio management and digital innovation.

In this role you will:

  • Establish strong collaboration with the key stakeholders and agile teams.
  • Mature and shape the roadmap for implementing Azure DevOps and standard agile ways of working.
  • Engage all stakeholders, facilitate workshops, and communicate plans.
  • Manage execution and drive progress to achieve the objectives.
  • Provide training for agile teams and create plans for reinforcement.
  • Develop and support and Community of Practice for agile ways of working.
  • Support the development of the agile delivery model and governance structures.

Your profile
Having digital skills is a must, but to succeed in this role we need a candidate who also has excellent people and stakeholder management skills. The ideal candidate has experience with agile transformation from a larger company or consultancy and knows what it takes from the people side of change.

We are on a mission to establish a more agile mindset in our IT organisation. It is therefore essential that you have an intrinsic motivation when it comes to working with agile project management tools and transformation. If you have worked with Scaled Agile Framework and Lean Portfolio Management, we would love to hear from you.

Maybe you are currently working as an agile coach or SAFe Program Consultant (SPCs) and are ready to take the next step? Maybe you have some years of project management experience from a global IT enterprise environment, or you are ready for a career path as a professional project manager? Perhaps you have a Bachelor or master’s degree in the field of business strategy, organizational behavior, digitalization, and innovation. Could be Cand.it, Cand.merc.it or similar.

Personal skills

You are a strong and engaging communicator – verbally and in writing – and you work closely with people at all levels of the organization. You have a strong business acumen and can work across business and technology in multiple countries.
