ISS Denmark is amid of realizing our sustainability potential, with this position currently being nationally anchored, as we seek to work globally with ISS Group stakeholders. This is where you come in. We are looking for a Sustainability Specialist who can identify improvement opportunities and ensure change management perspectives are deployed within our organisation. You will play a key part in collaborating with our global head office, as we build our sustainability department on top of our waste management expertise, while being committed to UN’s sustainability goals and Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTI). Being aware of new sustainability trends and connecting this knowledge with waste management is key, as new legislation within these areas have an immense impact on our business.
As our new Sustainability Specialist, you will become a member of the Sustainability & Waste Management Team, reporting directly to the Head of Sustainability & Waste Management. You will act as a sparring partner on service delivery agreements and execute initiatives with the purpose of strengthening and building awareness of sustainability capabilities internally and externally with our customers.
You will be responsible for your own transformational themes within our framework by scoping and developing impact while organizing and building progress reports. You must ensure stakeholders are informed and consulted continuously, as you engage in customer dialogue to enhance service delivery and data reporting. Furthermore, you must be devoted to work in a rapidly growing environment, not being afraid from working with multiple sustainability tasks. You will be part of building this position from the ground up, accompanied by a team and organization with big aspirations of delivering sustainable services both internally and with our customers.

As our Sustainability Specialist, you have experience in the sustainability field, preferably within data reporting. You draw knowledge from a university degree within sustainability or a similar area and have potentially worked cross-functionally in a large organization before. You balance strong professional competencies with business targets and priorities while working proficiently with data requirements and documentation thereof. You move the needle by being pragmatic in your approach, showing strong analytical skills and a structured mindset. You enjoy collaboration across functions by balancing stakeholders and ensuring accountability, thus driving the sustainability agenda proactively.
