With the ongoing expansion into new therapy areas and a growing pipeline with increased interdependencies across our value chain, it is increasingly important to Novo Nordisk to provide consistent and insightful analysis and understanding of the product development pipeline towards senior management and Governance. The Portfolio Analysis team, anchored in the larger Development Portfolio Insights and Analysis team, is looking for an enthusiastic colleague to drive strong data driven portfolio insights. This role requires a combination of analytical skills and collaborative ways of working, focusing on empowering our portfolio analysis work. Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: Execute data driven portfolio analysis that support direction-setting and decision making for the Novo Nordisk development pipeline. Empower and drive the development of portfolio and project risk management. Support strategic portfolio projects with organisational reach within the EVP area and across the full value chain Work with the new Enterprise Portfolio Management System (pWr) and help with advancing it for portfolio analysis needs Contribute to portfolio reporting to Investor Relations and Board of Directors Since this is a newly established position, you will have the opportunity to impact and develop the role together with your manager and the rest of the team. As P ortfolio Manager , you will be expected to proactively execute data driven analyses and reports, work on projects and deliverables with a varying degree of autonomy as well as formulate recommendations. You are the perfect candidate if you show strong analytical and collaborative skills and are eager to understand the development portfolio stakeholder landscape at Novo Nordisk. Qualifications Degree in a relevant field from e.g. Quant studies, Business administration, Science . Minimum 5 years of experience in working with risk or data analysis at a management consulting firm or large corporate. Experience in portfolio analysis or investment management is a plus. Strong analytical capabilities based on solid quantitative skills with the ability to deliver with high quality under pressure. Experience in structuring and analysing data in excel and data systems. No advanced system or coding skills required. Good collaborator and team player in a dynamic team with different skillsets and tasks. Eagerness to learn or expand knowledge about portfolio management in a pharmaceutical company. Stakeholder engagement/management skills. Understanding of drug development from a practical or scientific angle is a plus. Finally, you have a positive “can-do” attitude and thrive in a complex and dynamic environment. You are proactive, ambitious, persistent with a degree of independency and like to challenge status quo and develop new innovative solutions to the challenges we meet. The Development EVP area is responsible for driving innovative clinical drug development and regulatory affairs worldwide from phase 2 to product introduction and through life cycle management. We work in global project teams with focus on delivering viable products that make a difference to patients and ultimately benefit society. Our area is a staff function to Development Management reporting to the Development Strategy, Portfolio and Digitalisation CVP unit. It consists of professionals and specialists with backgrounds in science, business, and finance. Development Portfolio Data & Analysis is responsible for facilitating portfolio discussions at our two governance boards (with members across NN at EVP and SVP level) and for providing portfolio perspectives ensuring solid governance prioritisation and decision making. The team is also responsible for the coordination of R&D risk reporting across therapy areas and portfolio analytics to BoD (Board of Directors). Working at Novo Nordisk
