The position
As a Project Manager, reporting to the Sr Director of the Digital Product and Project Office, you will contribute to continuously improving the effectiveness and efficiency of our business processes. As many projects have both a business and an IT component, we collaborate closely with the line of business as well as the IT and digitalisation teams. Depending on the size and complexity of the project, we staff project and program management roles in both Digital and organisational focus projects.
Your main responsibilities will be focused on:
• Setting direction for the project and the project team
• Planning and executing all related tasks/processes using standard project tools
• Engaging with and managing stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
• Ensuring that we are set for the future both in terms of business growth as well as authority requirements Your success in this role is dependent on your ability to collaborate and communicate, as well as your analytical skills and curiosity, which will allow you to quickly understand processes and organisational setups. As you build experience within our business processes, you will also partner with the business and proactively identify new improvement opportunities.
Qualifications
To be a competitive candidate, you should have:
• Master’s degree with excellent results
• At least, 5 years of practical project management experience, preferably within the pharma industry or as a consultant
• Proven track record of handling complex cross-organisational projects and acquired solid experience using and applying classic Project Management tools
• Experience with agile project management, digitalisation and process improvement will be advantageous
• Fluency in written and spoken English
On a personal level, you have a high level of drive and result-orientation while being a team player. You are curious and innovative by nature and like to be challenged. You are analytical, structured, and comfortable managing a project team. In this role, you need to be comfortable interacting with stakeholders at different organisational levels and have experience in working across organisational and geographical boundaries. Leading others in a project context comes naturally to you, and you use your energy and people skills to timely involve the right competencies in the right processes and carry project ideas through with success.
About the department
The Digital Product & Project Office is part of the Submissions & Life Cycle Management Digital Transformation Unit. It was recently established to lift our ability to support process optimisation with digital enablers and capitalise on opportunities ahead in our digitalisation journey. We are a team of approximately 15 skilled project managers with backgrounds from different industries, and/or consultancies. Together, we are responsible for cross-organisational projects in the SubLCM organisation of approximately 1500 employees as well as colleagues across the broader Novo Nordisk organisation including affiliates around the world.
