The position
As a Head of Insights & Strategy, you will be accountable for leading and driving robust insights into action generation for priority business challenges across StudyHub Product Lines, with deep collaboration with Business Owners, Stakeholders, and StudyHub Product Community. In this role, you will: Drive the creation of the Operational Data Insights journey in synchronization with the clinical development and clinical operations decision journey to establish the foundation of the StudyHub Ontology model. Chair the StudyHub Product Lines Community composed of Head of Product Lines, Product Owners, Design + Tech + Data & Modelling + Change leaders (others), manage the agenda, facilitate the team brainstorming, drive tangible outcome and manage the cross-product backlog items to enable a unified delivery plan. Manage a complex stakeholder group and a multitiered customer collaboration scheme by negotiating priorities, and ensuring clear communication lines between business, technical teams, and end-users. Support the VP, ODI, and the ODI Leadership Team to articulate the strategic vision and roadmap of StudyHub, and guide the change leaders to build communication and launch strategies across the Line of Businesses. Ensure that product design principles are consistently applied across the product line, resulting in intuitive and aesthetically pleasing user experiences and brand identity. Take indirect leadership scope by guiding and supporting the team in understanding the customer needs to enable value-driven development.
The daily work is performed out of the job holders' local base, and in collaboration with colleagues, stakeholders, and projects globally. Hence the role includes frequent interaction across the organisation via tech platforms and some travelling for critically important meetings in line with the Circular for Zero strategy.
Qualifications
To thrive and succeed in this role, we expect you to have: An academic degree in Business Administration, Design, IT, Engineering, or similar. 8+ years of experience in leading multiple complex projects and managing complex stakeholder landscapes, preferably in R&D, clinical development, or clinical operations areas. complemented by advanced analytical, insights, and strategy-related work. Proven experience with business knowledge, decision processes, and navigating a global matrix organization. Deep understanding and proven track record in digital, data, data science, AI/ML models, along with experience using online collaboration tools such as Azure DevOps, Miro, or equivalent. Fluency in English (both written and spoken). As a person, you are both a team player and a visionary leader, adept at guiding and supporting team members to understand customer needs, thus enabling value-driven development. As a strong communicator with excellent storytelling skills and a strategic mindset, you naturally exhibit curiosity and an explorative approach, allowing you to delve into challenges and opportunities to gain a deeper understanding of customers and the market.
About the department
The position as Head of Insights & Strategy (Specialist) is based in the Operational Data Insights area, which is part of the unit called Global Trial Portfolio where we are dedicated to designing, building, enriching, and maintaining StudyHub through a collaborative way of working with Development Lines of Business (LoBs), Digital Transformation Office (DTO), and Development IT (DD&IT). The ODI team leads the operational data insights journey all along the program/trial lifecycle, enabling LoBs to evolve towards more informed decision-making. You will join a pragmatic team eager to tackle complex clinical operations problems, use AI and advanced analytics to generate deep contextualized insights, and unleash data-driven decisions.
