European Energy is a Danish privately owned company in rapid growth. We construct wind and photovoltaic (PV) projects, from greenfield development to construction, operation, and divestment. Our company of 200 employees has since 2004 installed more than 2.0 GW of renewable energy. We operate globally and employ 23 different nationalities at our HQ in Copenhagen and our offices in Sweden, the UK, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, and Spain. Our mission is to be a significant force in the global transition to a fossil free society.

As our new Project Assistant, you will work from our newly established office in Varna with European Energy’s future projects in Bulgaria.

You will be responsible for project origination and evaluation, identifying and scouting project opportunities. In cooperation with your highly experienced and motivated commercial, legal and technical colleagues, you will contribute to assessing feasibility and potential of such projects. You will be engaged in negotiations with stakeholders, such as landowners, authorities, regulators, and financial institutions. As a part of project permitting process, you will maintain excellent communication with municipalities and central authorities, local suppliers, technical designers, and service providers. Finally, you will consult and survey partners and subcontractors securing continuous development of our project portfolio in Bulgaria.

Professional skills we expect from you


  • You have completed a bachelor or master’s degree in economics, engineering, or law.
  • At least 2 years of experience within project management, preferably in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of the renewable energy industry, primarily in wind and solar technologies will be considered as an advantage.
  • You are an expert user of MS Office.
  • You master Bulgarian and English.
