JOB DESCRIPTION
As ’s Public Affairs and Corporate Communications Manager in Denmark you will be in charge of our corporate reputation. You will define, lead and execute our public affairs and corporate communications strategy on topics relevant to the company and to support the business’ strategic goals. In addition, you will engage with stakeholders including media and policy stakeholders to shape the way is perceived by them.
An important part of your role is to help cross-functional internal stakeholders understand how our work supports ’s business ambitions and enhances the focus on the long-term reputation of the company. We expect you to leverage your experience in working with journalists, policy stakeholders, interest groups and/or trade associations to help shape and support the organisation’s strategic goals on topics such as platform work, AI, labour market, innovation and sustainability.
To ensure global alignment on these topics, you will work in close collaboration with our Central Corporate Communications and Public Affairs teams, located at Takeaway.com’s headquarters in Amsterdam as well as the Country Director in Denmark.

All about the role…
You are responsible for setting-up and further professionalising the Public Affairs and Corporate Communication function. Furthermore, you will:
- Monitor relevant media coverage and regulatory, policy and political developments, assess their impact on the company’s and deliver analyses to key internal stakeholders;
- Promote and represent ’s vision and values towards a broad range of stakeholders. Identify key media and policy issues, listen carefully to others’ views and opinions, and distil and share the company’s perspective on those issues with external stakeholders on local and national level, such as journalists, governmental bodies, think tanks, public interest groups or relevant industry associations.
- Design and draft Public Affairs and Corporate Communications strategy in close collaboration with the Danish business priorities and in alignment with our companies global goals.
- Draft position papers and press releases on core issues, by working across functions to ensure alignment between business objectives and your Corporate Communications and Public Affairs strategy;
- Facilitate high-level meetings between Denmark's executives and key stakeholders including journalists, senior government officials, regulators, industry associations and alliance partners to promote and advocate the company’s commitment to public policies.
- Represent JET externally in publications, events, and policymaker settings.
Can you deliver?
Here are the qualifications and attributes we seek in a candidate for the role of Public Affairs and Corporate Communications Manager in Denmark:
- Bachelor and/or Master’s degree, or equivalent practical experience, preferably in Communications, Political Science or Law.
- Minimum of 5-8 years/substantive experience working in public affairs and/or corporate communications within an in-house corporate policy or communication function, consultancy firm, interest group/trade association or in government.
- Experience in working independently on public affairs and/or corporate communication tasks and knowledge of and a network in both the Danish political and institutional sphere and media landscape.
- A self-starter and team player with a hands-on and can-do attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to adapt quickly and in a rapidly changing environment;
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with a high attention to detail, and drive projects to successful completion.
- Strong language skills and the ability to write and translate complex issues into a language suitable for either technical or non-technical audiences and to communicate impactfully in person and writing.
- Full proficiency in Danish and English.
