As Project Controller at SSI Schäfer, you will be part of one of the world’s largest full-range suppliers and component manufacturers. SSI Schäfer’s portfolio encompasses logistics systems, storage and conveyor systems, workstations, logistics software, and waste engineering and recycling.

With a direct report to the local Finance Director, the Project Controller will become part of the North & East Europe Finance team consisting of 6 people. The primary role of the Project Controller is to support the different managers and departments in the hub, especially the project department, Logistics Solutions (LS), and Products and Equipment (PE).

The Project Controller will have a central role in supporting and sparring with the managers in developing and strengthening the business with timely and accurate information and analysis for decision support. Furthermore, the Project Controller will be involved in various short- and long-term projects related to process and business development.

Your main tasks are:

Sparring and analysis:

• Monthly project status meetings with Managers, Project Managers, and Project Assistants; performance reviews and follow-up on agreed actions
• Analyse monthly financial reports, investigate variances to forecasts, and assess the estimates for the year
• Provide financial analyses and support management

Reporting and budgeting:

• Preparation for month-end and closing procedures
• Participate in the budget and forecasting processes
• Assist in preparation of annual reports
• Ensure correct reporting to the Group

Optimisation and automation:

• Proactively contribute to the continuous optimization of financial procedures and processes in the finance department
• Ensure good collaboration in the finance department, and across the organization

Your qualifications are grounded in a minimum of 3 years of working experience from a similar position as Controller or Project Controller in a project-oriented company. You are familiar with the discipline of business partnering along with an analytical approach. It is important that you understand basic accounting principles and how to communicate and present financial data to non-finance professionals.

Educationally you hold relevant theoretical education, such as HD-R, Cand. Merc., Auditing or similar.

You are a person with an open-minded and positive attitude who succeeds in working independently as well as in a team. You have good communication skills and the ability to build trusting and close relations with your colleagues across the organization.
