European Energy is a Danish privately owned company in rapid growth. We cover all phases of wind and photovoltaic (PV) solar projects, from early development to operation and divestment of assets. Our company of +400 employees has since 2004 installed more than 2.0 GW of renewable energy. We operate globally and employ 30 different nationalities at our HQ in Copenhagen and our offices around Europe. Our mission is to play a significant role in the global transition to a fossil-free society.

As our new Financial Controller, you will be involved in forming an EE office in a rapidly expanding area, supporting controlling tasks for Polish companies, provide business support to Polish project teams, be responsible for local reporting and coordinate with external tax advisors about reporting.

Areas of responsibilities

• Compliance towards authorities for all Polish companies
• The main point of contact to external service providers
• Responsible for collaboration with auditors and tax authorities
• TAX, VAT, and local GAAP reporting in collaboration with external advisors
• Controlling support for Polish companies
• Period end tasks and reporting internally and to external parties
• Optimizations of tasks and processes
• Support in Sales Due Diligence process

Your profile

• You hold a degree in auditing, accounting, finance or similar
• You have several years of experience with accounting and finance
• You have profound skills in controlling, TAX, VAT, and Polish compliance
• You have good knowledge of IFRS
• You are thorough and structured
• You are an experienced user in Excel
• You have full professional proficiency in English and Polish
• Experience working in Navision Dynamics is an advantage
• Knowledge of HFM (Hyperion) is an advantage

We seek a colleague with good analytical skills, who delivers timely and accurately with high quality. You have good structural skills and can keep the overview while working in a high-paced and multidisciplinary environment with high complexity.
