Financial Controller

Key responsibilities

As our new Financial Controller, you will be a part of our finance and accounting team. The position is new, and our intention is to improve the team’s ability to lift projects, relieve the workload and assist the team manager.

The responsibilities will have two sides. One side is working on projects. One of the first projects is improvement of internal controls and processes, where you will play a significant role. Future projects could be improvement of controlling, reporting or business processes, development of BI-tools, implementation of new IT-tools, etc.

The other side will be operational tasks. The combination will depend on your background and competencies. We expect some of them to be:
• Participating in handling requests and performing proactive actions
• Tasks at monthly closing
• Controlling of accounting data
• Controlling of salaries
• Compliance to group standards and legislation
• Reports to public authorities
• Other operational tasks

We are looking for

Ideally, you hold a bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Accountings, Auditing or similar plus 2-3 years’ experience from a large corporation or auditing company. Another alternative is, that you come with a Master’s degree, but without experience – or you might be a skilled accountant with additional education.

Furthermore, you have strong IT-skills, including Microsoft Excel and you navigate easily within Power-BI. Fluent English skills are required. Danish and/or “Sønderjysk” is an advantage ; )
On a personal level, you are structured, self-driven and solution oriented. You can catch up on new tasks quickly and see the role of a process in the large picture. You are service-minded and enjoy working in a team as well as for yourself.
