At Obton A/S, we specialize in the procurement, development, operation, and management of large-scale solar parks and battery storage projects worldwide. Founded in 2009, we now have over 1,500 solar installations across Europe, Asia, Australia, and North America.

Primary task

We are a company in an exciting transformation phase, which means a new structure in the way we work. You will become part of an ambitious team where everyone works hard towards new, more efficient processes in workflows. For us it is crucial that you are adaptable to change and ready to assist wherever necessary, and thereby help setting the direction for the team.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Preparation and presentation of quarterly and annual financial statements of our solar companies
• Implementation of reporting requirements
• Implementation of process optimizations and projects in finance with a focus on efficiency and automation
• Ensuring uniformity across units, including quality assurance of processes and automation of various processes in the finance function
• Preparation of annual reports, including preparing material for the annual audit
• Contact with external bookkeeping agencies and auditors
• Controlling in collaboration with other departments, and financial reporting for the group's solar projects
• Acting as a professional sparring partner in the financial area for our colleagues in other departments and countries
• Preparation and updating relevant business processes
• Quality assurance of new projects

You will become an important link to the rest of the organization, ensuring successful controlling and reporting to investors and other stakeholders.

General expectations of competences and experience can be:

• Several years of experience as a financial controller or in a similar role. It is an advantage if you have a background in auditing
• An analytical and efficient working style with good IT skills, including solid experience with Excel and preferable BC 365 or similar
• A structured approach and an understanding of the importance of meeting agreed deadlines
• Strong numerical skills and a professional pride in delving into the process to understand transactions
• The ability to balance the principle of materiality with the need to be detail-oriented
• You have a positive attitude along your proactive approach, and you possess a collaborative spirit across the organization
• A business-oriented mindset with a talent for stakeholder management and building relationships
• You are fluent in English and Danish – both written and spoken
