Join a finance function under development

You can look forward to a challenging position based at our Esbjerg or Taastrup office. You are the local accounting presence for the business working with our US colleagues in the Finance department.

You will get a broad network of contacts across the areas of responsibility so you must be familiar with the many facets of a finance function. Your work will cover a wide range of tasks, including recording of vouchers, balancing for monthly and quarterly accounts, preparing for reports for the head office in the USA, and various sub-tasks in the accounting department requiring cross-organizational cooperation.

As a company and department, we are under development, which means that new tasks are turning up and we are finding alternative solutions to existing tasks. It is therefore necessary that you are happy to take on new tasks, whenever there is a need for progress. You will be responsible for maintaining and developing existing working procedures and must be happy to contribute to ongoing optimization projects as well.

The job involves contact with many stakeholders in and outside the company so you must be outreaching and outgoing.

Your primary tasks will include:

  • Assist in preparing interim financial statements, annual accounts, budgets and controlling in partnership with the Controller for Clean Energy.
  • AssistTreasury with the preparation of payments in bank.
  • Responsible for the fixed assets register, which includes recording, updating, balancing, etc.
  • Preparation of weekly cash flow accounts- Cash need and Cash Variance.
  • Assist in preparing/reporting various VAT accounts and INTRASTAT and other statistical reporting as required.
  • Assist Accounts Payable with the bookkeeping and auditing of travel expense accounts.
  • Assist Accounts Receivable with preparing outgoing invoices, which includes bookkeeping, reconciliation, and follow-up of customer balances
  • Assist with accounting for intercompany invoices, which includes balancing accounts
  • Assist with accounting for the registration and accounting of supplier invoices (FI).
  • Various tasks in connection with interim financial statements, which include bookkeeping, balancing accounts, account reconciliations according to Company policy and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, etc.
  • Preparing and booking the monthly accruals.

Independent finance and accounting profile

  • Ideally, you have at least three years of experience from a similar bookkeeping/financial position, preferably with an international company.
  • You have a structured approach to solving tasks and take pride in ensuring that details are correct.
  • You can work independently and take responsibility within your area of work.
  • You are outgoing and service minded.
  • You are able to stay on top of your work in a busy working day and to see opportunities for optimization in a company undergoing change.
  • You master IT at user level, the Microsoft Office package (Excel) and you communicate in written and spoken Danish and English.

As a person, you like to immerse yourself and act as a professional sparring partner in the department. Therefore, you are also looking independently for answers and solutions, and you are good at cooperating and communicating with colleagues at all levels. Finally, you work in a targeted and efficient manner.
