We – Maersk Special Projects Logistics - are now recruiting for a Manager to our Aid & Relief Department as will be responsible for UNICEF operations team and our Finance team. The role as “UNICEF & Finance Manager – Aid & Relief” offers a great opportunity to be part of a winning team and be a strong enabler in shaping the success of our Aid & Relief team. You will be responsible for driving high quality customer service, effective communication, cost awareness and continuous performance which supports our growth aspirations on the UNICEF account. Additionally, the financial responsibility for our Financial team as also are centered support to the full Special Project Logistics department in Europe.
The position is a perfect “first time leader” opportunity and will be located in Aarhus.
In the Special Projects Logistics team you will be a part of a team of 30 experienced colleagues, where we strive to deliver the best operational service for our customers. As a Manager you will also be part of the Special Project Logistics leadership team, as are setting the directions for the expansion in Europe.
Your main responsibilities will from our UNICEF “Control Tower Setup” will be, amongst others:
• Leading a team of 4-5 specialists within UNICEF and Finance in Specials Project Logistics
• Active part of the leadership team in Maersk Special Project Logistics
• Work as the Primary Contact Person for UNICEF operations globally
• Responsible for the financial structure of the UNICEF account
• Exploring new opportunities together with UNICEF KCM when possible.
• Together with the network both internally and externally identifying challenges and findings ways to improve customer service and solutions to UNICEF
• Main responsible for the team execution with our support functions in GSC.
Our ideal candidate is a self-driven person that can stay cool in a hectic and complex environment. You are very structured with a flair for cross function collaboration and a keen interest in financial aspects of business. You strive in a collaborative role being responsible for the service provided and you are always will to go All the way!
Our preferred candidate has:
2-3 Years’ experience with Aid logistics
Experience in SAP system on a medium/high level
Excellent communication skills, including both verbal and written in English
A collaborative mindset with a “can do” attitude
Eagerness to be best in class and part of a winning team as a leader
Ability to travel approx. 5-10 days a year
