About the role
In this role you will be responsible, together with the Head of Accounting, for the accounting, including local statutory reporting, period end closing activities and tax topics of Siemens A/S and Siemens Mobility A/S in Denmark. You will ensure a smooth monthly closing process in order to complete books accurately and timely.
You will work closely with the Siemens global finance community as well as the local business, to ensure that finance processes are lean and effective.
Part of your job will be to detect and support with the implementation of processes and work instructions for local purposes, and support in internal control evaluation tasks. You will prepare journal entries for the IFRS closing and financial statements under local GAAP and ensure these are posted timely and correctly. You will report to the Head of Accounting of Siemens A/S.

About the role

The key responsibilities include:
- Prepare all statutory postings required under local GAAP and perform the statutory financial statements.
- Reconcile annual legal entity reporting between IFRS and local GAAP.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and local GAAP accounting and reporting.
- Actively participate in month-end close activities, such as reporting, data reconciliation, preparation/reviewing of journal entries and solving validation errors.
- Corporate income tax including preparation of the draft tax return in collaboration with the regional tax department in Sweden.
- Accounting related internal controls
- Contact with external and internal auditors.
- Cooperate closely with our Shared Services Centers
- To challenge and to work towards continuous development of the ways of working.
Candidate Requirements
You display strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels and to position ideas and manage expectations of various stakeholders. You think out of the box, strategically beyond the immediate future and work on relationship-building in a multi-cultural environment.
- You hold at least a Bachelor or Graduate Diploma in Finance, Accounting or related area and have worked 3-5 years after your exam, preferably as auditor or in a similar function.
- Professional accounting experience with local statutory reporting and IFRS including year-end closing with a well-developed accounting mindset and ability to communicate complex accounting topics and recommendations to key stakeholders.
- Must be able to translate principles of finance theory into practical application and be capable of providing guidance to finance and business.
- Great communication skills are therefore a must, as is attention to detail and that you are a team player that can also be agile and work independently when so needed.
- Fluency in English and in Danish
- Experience from working in a complex organization in an international environment is considered an advantage.
- Experience with SAP and Excel is an advantage.
