Altrad Services A/S is a company that primarily deals with maintenance of energy infrastructure. The majority of the company's activities take place in the oil/gas industry in the Danish sector of the North Sea, but Altrad Services A/S also solves a large number of tasks onshore at, for example, Crossbridge Energy in Fredericia and Novo Nordisk in Kalundborg.

Altrad Services A/S employs more than 850 employees and has offices in Middelfart, Esbjerg, Vissenbjerg and Kalundborg. The company is part of Altrad Services UK, Ireland & Nordics and part of a privately owned French group with more than 50,000 employees.

The company is from January 2022 spun off / divested from German Muehlhan and hereafter consists exclusively of 2 business areas:

  • Onshore, where approx. 100 employees are associated within scaffolding that services large industrial groups, construction projects and also a mobile department that performs surface treatment on larger bridges, tanks and similar metallic surfaces.

  • Offshore, where approx. 750 employees are associated within maintenance of oil rigs in the Danish part of the North Sea. The main focus during this time and the next 18 months is the reconstruction of the Tyra field, but other major projects related to this will certainly also cement this business area to the absolute largest


The customer portfolio consists of few, but large customers, which is why the level of service and timely delivery of the services and the relationship with the customers is obviously crucial for the further development of the company's activities.

ORGANISATION

Based in Esbjerg the candidate will refer to the Commercial Manager.

The position is a re-appointment, but the number of employees is expected to increase in line with the company's expected development.

THE POSITION

ALTRAD Services A/S is a fast-growing company and it is expected that the new Project Controller, as a new colleague, will help to optimise, improve and streamline the financial workflows in the various projects.

The candidate will be part of a Commercial team that collaborates interdisciplinary with the Project Managers and the individual customers. The candidate will be responsible for running and securing the financial aspects of the projects, including all costs related to material, consumption, staffing, purchasing etc.

The new Project Controller role is of decisive importance for project estimation and cost controlling, and there is a particular focus on being able to navigate and support the IT processes as optimally as possible.

The candidate’s areas of responsibility will specific be:

  • Support the Sales Invoicing Process
  • Monitor and manage Contract change and support the effective management of all Contract
  • Change notification and Administration
  • Liaise with other Functions as required in support of risk, value management and cost
  • control
  • Cost controlling
  • Cost & Revenue forecasting and follow-up
  • Validation of margin in cooperation with Project Manager
  • Ensure optimal workflow and registration of data on the projects
  • Prepare and follow up on reports
  • Collect and report project estimates
  • Ongoing optimization of commercial processes
  • Support implementation of a new ERP subsystem

The candidate is expected to participate in meetings with the project management regarding status of the economic progress, and there will be continuous sparring across the organization with Project Managers, Project owners and Business Controlling.

THE CANDIDATE

We are looking for a Project Controller for the Commercial team who can act as a link between the Finance Department, the Project Managers and the customer.

Since the candidate act as a link in several places in the organization, it is important that the candidate thrive in having an extroverted communicator role and manage to communicate in a clear and involving way. The candidate works responsibly and can navigate across projects and departments. It is important that the candidate do not lose sight and are solution-oriented, even if priorities and deadlines change at short notice. As a person, the candidate is detail-oriented and know how to plan and prioritize your tasks, just as the candidate naturally take ownership and are motivated for change.

The candidate has a relevant experience from a similar position, preferably from a project- oriented organisation. We expect the candidate to be analytical and have a solid understanding of project controlling.

It is essential that the candidate enjoy collaborating, enjoy a fast-paced environment and love to execute and contribute with quality and results. The candidate is curious and ambitious by nature, with a committed and positive approach.

EDUCATION

A relevant education at bachelor's level such as CM, HD, HA.

IT

Strong with IT, including Excel. It is an advantage if the candidate has worked with Business Central or other ERP systems. The candidate will also work in MSOffice and SharePoint.

LANGUAGE

Danish and English, written and spoken.

DOMICIL

Max. one hour's drive from Esbjerg

TRAVELING DAYS

Approx. 5-10 travel days per year.
