The Role

As a Group Financial Controller at CO-RO, you will play a crucial role as part of our Group Finance team, responsible for overseeing the Group External Reporting and Compliance function. You will report to the Director of Group Controlling and be part of a small team of controllers with responsibility for group financial planning and analysis, forecasting and budgeting, consolidation and controlling of the financials from the entities around the world, Group Tax as well as preparing the internal and external financial reporting of the Group.

Your primary responsibilities will include financial controlling of the CO-RO group’s financials, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations, managing transfer pricing, and overseeing the Group Annual report and audit process. Additionally, you will define and govern the Group Reporting guidance while acting as a subject matter expert in the fields of accounting, tax, and financial controlling, supporting local entities and collaborating closely with our Group CFO.

More specifically, the role entails the following areas of responsibility:

Group Financial Controlling

  • Prepare the Group Annual Report.
  • Execute financial controlling of the entities within the Group.
  • Serve as the anchor-point for the Group Audit process.
  • Take ownership of the Group Reporting Guidance (Accounting and Tax).

Group Compliance

  • Ensure compliant tax reporting, including corporate tax and indirect taxes.
  • Implement and enforce controlling activities for VAT and other indirect taxes.
  • Manage Transfer Pricing documentation.
  • Define and monitor internal controls.
  • Collaborate with subsidiaries and joint ventures to plan core compliance processes.

Professional Qualifications and Competences

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration & Auditing, Finance, Accounting or a related field, preferably with an audit background of 5-10 years or experience from a similar position.
  • You have experience with group consolidation and reporting processes and solid accounting skills. Preferably also hands-on experiences with a financial consolidation system.
  • You have an interest in tax processes – direct taxes, indirect taxes, and transfer pricing. Experience with tax processes is an advantage but not a prerequisite to be considered for this position.
  • You have strong communication skills with fluency in Danish and English (both written and spoken).
