The job
As a part of the HQ Finance department you will have a key role as Commercial Business Controller supporting the North America Branded & Rest of World Division. Primary focus will be on controlling, forecasting and general financial analysis to support our International Business Managers who are responsible for our Export markets all around the world. You must have a solid knowledge of finance and accounting, preferably with experience related to consumer products and exposure to profitability analysis and working on business case support. As part of this process, you will work with stakeholders in different parts of the company, drive analysis on various products, categories, countries and business opportunities, as well as support strategic and local projects.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
• Monthly controlling and forecasting for our Export markets
• Prepare monthly performance reports and analysis to business stakeholders
• Acting as a sparring partner by offering general financial support to commercial decision makers
• Analyze brand, country and customer profitability – good understanding of the various profitability levers
• Identify business risks and opportunities through analysis and by asking the right questions
• Perform ad-hoc reporting and analysis, and participate in special Finance projects
You will be working out of our head office in Gentofte, Denmark, reporting to Divisional Finance Business Partner for North America Branded and Rest of World.
What is needed to succeed?
In addition to having a solid and relevant economical/financial theoretical background, at bachelor or Master’s level, you should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in Finance from an international environment, preferably within FMCG. Other skills to be successful on the role:
• Strong analytical skills with passion for providing analysis and insight
• Good business acumen
• Good communication skills and ability to explain financial information to various internal stakeholders
• Preferred experience related to consumer products, manufacturing and exposure to product pricing and costing
• Ability to work with large volumes of data
• Passionate for business and process improvement and foster a culture of sharing best practices
• Excellent PC skills and experience using financial systems (preferably Oracle & SAP), Excel and PowerPoint
• Demonstrated ability to perform in an environment emphasizing teamwork to meet deliverables
• Demonstrated capacity to effectively manage multiple and frequently changing priorities
About the department
You will join the Finance department in the Group’s head office, consisting of different functions, however you will also interact with stakeholders in other parts of the world on a regular basis.
