LEMAN is searching for an ambitious Business Controller who is motivated for financial analysis, business intelligence, reporting and a close cooperation with the Operations.
LEMAN A/S is a transport, logistics and freight forwarding company with offices in the Nordic countries, the UK, and the US with a total of 700 employees and a turnover of approx. 2.2 billion DKK. With the Mission LEMAN 3+, the LEMAN Group has launched a growth strategy where the company wishes to triple in size, growing both organically and through acquisitions.
To support this business journey LEMAN is recruiting a Business Controller to join Group Controlling. As Business Controller, you will be responsible for a business division and for the Group’s corporate functions for whom you will be the link between Finance and the Operations. You will report directly to the Head of Controlling.
Group Controlling has a central role in LEMAN to support both Group Management and the Operations in each of the local entities. Together with the team you will strengthen the organization with your financial insights and play an active part in developing a new BI setup to improve transparency, processes and drive efficiency. As with LEMAN, the team has developed a great deal over a short time, and you will have good opportunities to influence your own job.
You will join Group Controlling which consist of a team of 4 persons. It is a small but ambitious and very motivated team with a great atmosphere. Group Controlling forms a part of the Finance Department in LEMAN A/S which consists of approx. 20 persons, all located in Greve, Denmark.
Responsibilities and job tasks
✓ Month-end closing and reporting on financial performance and KPI’s.
✓ Forecasting and budget preparation.
✓ Maintenance and development of the Group’s BI and financial reporting systems.
✓ Revenue and cost controlling.
✓ Support the business by forming a close relationship with your Business Division across the LEMAN entities to help drive development and deliver on initiatives.
✓ Prepare analyses, plan and follow up on initiatives and investments and take part in M&A projects.
✓ Perform benchmarking, share best practices and help drive efficiency and business development.
Qualifications
You most likely hold a relevant MSc degree or a Graduate Diploma in Accounting and Financial Management (HD Regnskab). You have experience in Business Controlling where you have worked closely together with the Operations and you are service minded. Likewise, you have experience with financial reporting, business intelligence, financial planning, analyses, and presentations.
You are analytical, structured and a skilled communicator. You are capable of working with others on different levels within the organization and can act as a sparring partner who supports but also challenges the Operations. You are ambitious, you show initiative and you are skilled in working with large amounts of data.
