The Director of Data Products – Finance will work with multiple senior business stakeholders (Finance LT, Commercial LT, Operations LT etc.) to drive business outcomes by leveraging and building data & analytics capabilities and products. The candidate will build a data product innovation mandate and data-driven culture and improve our business performance by owning, shaping and evolving a portfolio of data products, while leading, guiding and coaching a team of data product managers, centred around, but not limited to, finance products & capabilities.
• Coach and guide senior finance stakeholders (business CFOs) on recommended future data capabilities and outcomes
• Value roadmap creation and overall execution to ensure prioritized delivery of products to generate business outcomes
• Data product management guidance & coaching
• Senior stakeholder management to ensure understanding and alignment to strategic business priorities
• Proactively drive product discovery with senior stakeholders and product managers, to establish a pipeline of opportunities
• Monetization and tracking of value realization to enable transparency on strategic investments
• Assume overall accountability for value creation for a defined data product portfolio
• Act as escalation point when issues arise with resources to manage and resolve disputes or conflicts
• Provide consulting on reactive, proactive and enhancement support services to enable strategic adoption of products
• Represent the desires of one or more Outcome Owners and ensure we create a range of products that will satisfy these outcomes and constantly improve them towards success
• Partner with customers, technology vendors, research companies and other relevant parties to bring an expert view and external market perspective
• MBA/MS from a globally recognized university; 15+ years’ experience overall
• 3+ years’ experience in leading high-performance, global teams
• Proven track record for successful delivery of scalable products through agile delivery & scrum teams
• Solid understanding of Big Data frameworks
• Has operated/can drive business with a DevOps mindset and in an Agile environment
• Skilled stakeholder manager with the ability to communicate complex messages, constructively challenge and guide business stakeholders
• Experience in successfully guiding engineering teams to successful shipment of BI / Analytical products
