We are looking for a talented Financial Controller & Accountant to be based at our Copenhagen office.
Our current Financial Controller & Accountant is moving abroad, and we are looking for a replacement for this important role in our Finance department, also consisting of our Finance Manager and a Revenue Controller.
You will be charged with key responsibilities such as managing the general ledger, flow of transactions, management reporting and daily accounting. You will work closely with our Finance Manager, who also works hands-on together with you on all aspects as needed.

Qualifications
We are looking for a finance professional with 4+ years related experience in an accounting/finance role, and the ideal candidate may show:

Your tasks and responsibilities include:
1. Financial Controlling
- Financial Reporting to Group and Local management
- Maintaining documentation that supports daily routines
- Collaboration with Auditors
- Valtech will be migrating from Navision Financials to cloud-based Oracle Financials. Our vision is to build more and more business processes into the Oracle Cloud to create a seamless and strong flow of information and data and to enable automated, intelligent accounting
2. Accounting
- Everything from daily bookings/entries to the monthly closing process. Including, but not limited to, the preparation of reconciliations, documentation to support journal entries, as well as assumptions and judgments used to support accounting decisions
- Identify automation opportunities to make accounting easier and more enjoyable
- Research and analyze accounting issues to ensure that accounting practices are compliant with rules and regulations. This includes drafting accounting memo’s and position papers to support the accounting policies
3. Financial Analysis and Budgeting
- Assist the Finance Manager in explaining business trends and performance versus plan and forecast
- Prepare monthly variance analyses for significant accounts to verify the integrity of monthly financial results and provide recommendations for improvement
- Create ad hoc financial analyses to support and recommend business decisions
- Assist in the development of annual budgets and monthly forecasts, analyzing financial performance, establishing goals and developing recommendations on profit, expense and cost saving opportunities
Qualifications
We are looking for a finance professional with 4+ years related experience in an accounting/finance role, and the ideal candidate may show:
- Strong communication, analytical and teambuilding skills
- Proficiency in English
- Advanced user of Excel
- Financial analysis experience
- Knowledge of IFRS and new accounting developments is a plus, but not a requirement
- Hands on experience using an enterprise reporting system (Navision, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
