We are looking for a new Finance Manager to join the Finance team for the Head Office in Copenhagen.

Reporting to the Group Chief Financial Officer in Svitzer, the successful candidate will join the Finance team for the Head Office based in Copenhagen, which is part of Svitzer Group Finance consisting of thirteen finance professionals with various backgrounds, ensuring a dynamic and developing work environment.
In collaboration with the HQ Accountant in the Head Office and supported by two student assistants, you will be working closely with colleagues across all functional areas in the Head Office as well as with finance functions in our regions and in the Maersk Group to successfully deliver on the following responsibilities:
• Handle financial and tax accounting for our Danish companies in full compliance with statutory and accounting requirements from the Maersk Group;
• Handle month, quarter and year-end tasks and reporting in our consolidation system, OneStream;
• Prepare statutory accounts for several Danish companies;
• Prepare rolling forecasts for Head Office and provide input for the annual business planning;
• Follow-up on financial performance for Head Office and prepare ad hoc financial analyses to functional managers;
• Handle internal recharges to and from our regions as well as with the Maersk Group;
• Ensure VAT and transfer pricing compliance for the Danish companies and coordinate input for tax returns;
• Ensure compliance with established internal processes and control procedures;
• Coordinate statutory and internal audits with external and internal auditors;
• Coordinate reporting to Danish authorities and organisations such as Statistics Denmark, etc.;
• Handle treasury tasks related to our Danish companies
You are an energetic finance professional and enjoy working in an international environment. You are structured with a sense of details and good analytical skills, and you communicate with stakeholders at all levels with ease. You enjoy taking ownership and responsibility for assigned tasks as well as coach and knowledge sharing on tasks handled by other team members. You are focused on ensuring high quality of deliverables, and continuously improving processes.
You have a relevant Bachelor or Master’s Degree in finance or Accounting and come with 3-5 years of professional finance experience, preferably from a position as auditor preparing and/or auditing financial statements or from a similar position with end-to-end responsibility for accounting and preparation of financial statements under Danish GAAP. In addition, you are an experienced user of MS Office and understanding of Navision, Basware and OneStream is an advantage.
As you will be working with external parties in Denmark and our working language is English, you must be fluent in both oral and written Danish and English. You must also hold a valid Danish residence and work permit.
