We are looking for a Rooms Controller to join our team.

We expect you to coordinate the room inventory of the property and ensure a smooth running of operations together with assisting management in motivating and coaching employees; serve as a departmental role model.

As a Rooms Controller, you will be responsible for assisting with the arrival and departure experience of our guests, act on their needs during the stay and exceed their expectations.

You will need to ensure that each of our guests have a seamless, brilliant and memorable Marriott experience. You will be reporting directly to the Front Office Supervisor and you will be part of the Front Office team which is running the Front Desk, AYS, Guest Relation, Concierge and Bell Service. You will be responsible to ensure a perfect running of the reception, rooms inventory along with training and motivating your colleagues as well as running shifts in the Front Office departments when needed.

Due to the nature of the job, work during weekends & bank holidays may occur.

Opgaver

With a high level of service in mind, you will be responsible for:

  • Assigning rooms according to guest request and preferences whenever possible.
  • Pre-register designated guests and prepare key packets.
  • Organizing and coordinating check-in/pre-registration procedures for arriving groups.
  • Reviewing/Tracking/Accommodating requests for room/check-out changes when possible; communicate status to appropriate staff.
  • Reviewing out-of-order / service rooms daily.
  • Identifying any over-commitments. Perform duplicate reservation checks; block rooms.
  • Keeping a close relation with Sales, Groups, Housekeeping, Engineering and Revenue department in order to ensure the good allocation of the rooms according to guest requests
  • Anticipating overbookings and set up strategies for it.

Om dig

You have a

  • High school diploma; 2-year experience in guest services, front desk, or related professional area.

OR

  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; no work experience required.

PERSONAL AND SOCIAL SKILLS:

  • A smiling and outgoing attitude.
  • Passion for hospitality, natural customer service skills.
  • Positive and accommodating behavior.
  • Genuine love for Copenhagen
  • You have industry experience and are committed, service minded and engaging towards guests as well as colleagues.

We expect you to approach your job with an attitude of making a positive impact on both our guests and your colleagues.

Additionally:

  • It is crucial that you have work experience from 4/5 star hotels
  • You are experienced in working with Opera
  • You are excellent at problem solving
  • You are highly responsible and reliable with a professional appearance
  • You are able to work with several projects at the same time
  • MARSHA & EMPOWER/GXP is a plus
  • Driver License is a plus
