Group Finance - Group Reporting & Financial Compliance External Reporting, Financial Controls & M&A Support

You will head the department External Reporting, Financial Controls & M&A Support which is part of Vestas’ Group Finance organisation. It is a dedicated team of 4-5 motivated and talented specialists. The department is responsible for informative and high-quality external reporting and providing insights to Executive Management as preparation for quarterly and annual investor presentations. The department is responsible for enabling a strong risk awareness and ensuring an efficient internal controls framework. This also includes the responsibility for the relationship with external auditors and deliverables towards Vestas’ audit committee. Last but least the department is involved in and responsible for the execution of finance related M&A activities.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure External Reporting Compliance
  • Drive external financial reporting improvements to ensure that Vestas provide the financial information needed by Vestas’ financial reporting users
  • Implement New IFRS standards, preparing and enhancing Vestas GAAP Guidelines, facilitate Vestas GAAP Trainings and offer consultancy
  • Enable strong risk awareness and implement efficient internal controls framework
  • Execute on finance related M&A activities
  • Coordinate deliverables towards the external auditors
  • Coordinate and execute on Audit Committee deliverables

Qualifications

  • Senior finance professional with 6+ years’ IFRS experience; Chartered Accountant (Statsautoriseret revisor) preferred
  • Experience in leading a team of specialists
  • Ability to assess financial risks and implement key control activities to reduce the risks to an acceptable level
  • Ability to identify and involve business stakeholders
  • Experience with finance related M&A activities

Competencies

  • Good leadership skills
  • High level of theoretical accounting / IFRS knowledge combined with solid practical experience on complex accounting matters from another Nasdaq large cap company or experience from IFRS reporting from a big four company
  • Strong communication and presentation skills and ability to proactively handle stakeholders and actively engaging them
  • Strong project management skills
  • Good analytical and systematical skills
  • Excellent English skills – both verbal and written
  • You act with integrity and accountability, take initiative and ownership and can work independently as well as interact with C-level stakeholders

Additional information
Your work location will be Copenhagen, Denmark, and you should expect approximately 20-30 travel days per year.
