Fortum Recycling & Waste is looking for a Business Controller
We are looking for a business controller in the early stage of their career with a strong personal drive and curiosity to join our Business Control Centre.
Your role
The position is located in our Recycling & Waste Denmark business unit in Nyborg, where you will be joining a team of three finance professionals. When joining us you will be supporting performance reporting, statutory compliance as well as development of financial processes with focus on performing hands-on tasks. You will be involved with target setting, follow-up as well as advanced financial analysis and interpretation of results for decision making purposes.
As a natural next step you will have the opportunity to take on own areas of responsibility as business controller. Business Control Centre (BCC) is centralized business controller unit in Corporate Finance, which is delivering flexible and efficient business controlling services Fortum wide excluding Russia and Co-owned companies. BCC is also accountable for business control process and finance business intelligence tools development. Today we have ~40 professional controllers in different countries targeting to scalable, value adding and more unified business controlling support

Your closest colleagues will be placed in Nyborg as well as in Sweden and Finland where the other Recycling & Waste plants are located. You will be part of a Danish and Swedish team of controllers giving you access to a wider network within the Fortum group. This means that you will have a lot of opportunities to grow and take on new challenges as you develop your skills and experiences. In Fortum we put a lot of emphasis on developing the hybrid way of working for the future and we offer you a flexible set up combining office work with remote work.
Your qualifications
You are a forward looking individual who is motivated by learning new skills and tackling challenges. Both analytical skills for analyzing data as well as a financial understanding is key to be successful in this role. People in your workplace find your communication open and transparent and you are good at building trust with other people. A relevant academic degree and 2-3 years of professional experience make you comfortable in setting your own agenda and making decisions when needed. You are comfortable working in English both spoken and written.
