Group Financial Controller for the Demant Group

Our team
We are about 50 colleagues in Group Finance – which covers all activities from controlling to business advisory, treasury, and tax. You will be joining our Group Financial Controlling team where we prepare and secure the financial statement for the Group both internal and external reporting from all Group companies. The team is responsible for enabling the finance organisation to comply with Demant Reporting principles. Department is also involved in and responsible for finance related M&A activities. We are a team of 15 highly competent colleagues striving to do our very best in supporting and advising the business globally. Tasks & responsibilities
Your main responsibility is to take part in the monthly closing of group figures and be responsible for selected areas of monthly controlling and reporting. You will establish close communication and a proactive engagement with the local finance departments located around the world, - ensuring high quality insights into the financials and analysis on internal and external reporting.
You will also be translating financial figures into accurate and timely reporting and insight to management, securing a solid foundation for business decisions.
The tasks of the Group Financial Controller are versatile and will among others consist of:
- Ensure strong monthly financial controlling of your assigned subsidiaries/countries
- Establish a trusted relationship with regional Finance Directors to support on reporting, compliance
- Define, own, and drive projects from end to end with the purpose of continually improving reporting and ensuring compliance
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and accounting guidelines
- Work with local Finance Directors to improve regional compliance
- Participate in preparation of the annual report for the Demant Group
- Responsible for implementing new IFRS standards or guidelines, preparing and enhancing Demant reporting manual in collaboration with Finance globally and locally
- Participate in finance related M&A activities
- Drive improvement in the financial reporting process across functions, countries and organizational
Your toolbox
You have a MSc in Business Administration & Auditing, Finance, Accounting, HD, CPA or similar and a minimum of 5-10 years of experience from an international auditing business and/or from controlling in a NASDAQ/large/medium international company. Furthermore:
- You have experience with group controlling, consolidation and reporting processes, plus solid accounting and IFRS skills
- You are a pro-active user of IT/accounting systems and have hands-on experience with financial consolidation system, particularly SAP BPC experience is useful here
- Your mindset is data-driven with strong analytical and numerical skills and interest in digitalization and improvements of processes and reporting. All in all, you make the complex simple in respect of processes, tools, and communication
- You have ability to assess financial risks and implement key control activities to reduce the risks to an acceptable level
- You can identify and involve business stakeholders

Expected travelling 10-15 days yearly.
