Tax Accounting and Compliance Specialist
This a chance for you to apply your skills within global corporate income tax accounting and compliance within the hearing health industry. You are now able to become part of an ambitious and dedicated team in the Group Tax function in Demant. At Demant business always means making lives better for millions of people around the world.
The position
With reference to the Group Tax Director, your task will be, to support the future development of the corporate income tax accounting and compliance area in Demant, both in Denmark but also globally. We offer you to help us elevate our tax compliance area, and to help create a better transparency on the global tax compliance. You will have a lot of influence on the process and will be offered a great opportunity to manage your area of responsibility in a self-driven manner.
The Team
The team is expanding and consist of five dedicated people specialized within transfer pricing, corporate income tax and VAT. The atmosphere in the team is great and you can expect a manager with a coaching and supporting approach to leadership which will give you the opportunity to grow and develop in the role.
Your main tasks and responsibilities will be
• Implement and manage centralized global tax compliance model
• Global tax controlling and support to Group entities
• Contribute to the digital transformation of the tax compliance process
• Assist on tax accounting in Group annual report and statutory accounts
• Assist in the preparation of tax returns
• Assist on tax related projects globally
• Monitor new tax developments and prepare impact assessment
When carrying out your tasks, you will work closely with the colleagues in Group Tax, Local- and Global Finance, and external advisors. You will obtain an in depth understanding of the Demant business and gain experience within a wide range of Danish and international tax legislation.
What we are looking for
You hold a relevant educational background and have relevant experience from a similar position or from an advisory or accounting firm. You have a solid knowledge within tax accounting and tax compliance, with a minimum of 4 years’ experience. Educational background withing accounting is considered a big plus but is not a requirement. Experience with Excel and ERP systems is also considered a plus. And last, you are fluent in English, as this is our company language.
On the personal side, it is important that you have a willingness to take on new challenges – using your curiosity to explore new opportunities and have an analytical and systematic approach in your work. You are a team player with strong stakeholder management skills, where you easily communicate on all levels of the organization. You are self-driven, take initiative and are not afraid of taking on responsibility.
