We are currently looking for service minded, engaged and quality-focused Housekeepers at the heart of Nørrebro in Copenhagen, who will be responsible for cleaning our international Hostel and commons areas. Is it you?

We are consistently working on eradicating inequality and creating change in 45 countries globally. We are partnered up with the international federation, ActionAid, reaching more than 25 million people globally. You can become a part of this work and join one of the sharpest civil society organizations in Denmark, as recently announced by the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
As the Housekeeper at Globalhagen Hostel and NGO-House, you will become a part of the Social Entrepreneurship Team, which together with 150 volunteers, are operating around 200 events a year. The team counts 10 persons, consisting of permanent staff, student helpers and interns who together manage activities together with our fantastic volunteers. Furthermore, we have about 20.000 visitors a year in Globalhagen hostel, cafe, kitchen and NGO-House.

You will be responsible for:
- The daily cleaning of our non-profit hostel that has room for 100 overnight guests in 22 rooms;
- Control the cleaning in common areas done by external cleaning company;
- Controlee of furniture and equipment and take the initiative for maintenance or replacement of these;
- Cooperate with the hostel coordinator, the maintenance operator and the administrator of the Hostel and NGO-House;
- Can ensure a high quality standard that is reflected in the results of our guest reviews.
The role requires that you:
- Have experience from previous cleaning jobs in the hotel industry;
- Are fluent in oral Danish and/or English;
- Take pride in giving our guests the best experience, and in cooperation with our volunteers, interns and operations team, will make sure that the rooms and common areas are always clean and inviting;
- Have a flair for cleaning and know the daily routines and tasks in this regard.
- Are service minded, reliable by nature and have a great sense of order and are in good physical shape.
- Are collaborative, quality-conscious and committed to your responsibilities.
In addition, you are outgoing, have an interests in meeting and talking to a lot of people from all over the world. You want to make a difference, in an international NGO environment, together with students, interns and volunteers, socially vulnerable people and the entire MS house.
We offer you:
- A contractual agreement in accordance with the provisions of the Danish Salaried Employees Act, the collective agreement of HORESTA (salary, supplement and working hours), the agreement between GHK and HK/STAT and local agreements;
- 6 guaranteed working hours per week (Saturday and Sunday 11:00-14:00);
- A broad international network of committed colleagues and employees;
- A dynamic work environment affected by many different tasks and cooperation with open communication and possibility for coaching, academic and personal development;
- A dedicated and informal tone filled with humor as well as open and constructive criticism;
- A shared organic vegetarian lunch arrangement Monday to Friday.
