The Jr. Accountant - Shared Services Center (SSC) will be responsible for performing all USA and Canada accounting tasks, general ledger, reconciliations, business supports, month-end & year-end closings, audits support, sales audits, and other tasks as assigned. You will ensure financial statements are accurately represented, and all accounting related responsibilities are handled in a timely and accurate manner.

What you can expect:

Responsibilities:

  • Interprets, streamlines, and formats large amounts of financial data in an organized manner
  • Provides detailed analysis of assets, liabilities, and other financial transactions. Monthly balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Prepares, post journal entries, maintains back up for posting, including, prepaids, accruals, provisions, etc. in SAP
  • Analytical tasks to ensure accuracy of balance sheet accounts and profit and loss
  • Creates, reviews and documents internal controls as they pertain to shared service center transactions
  • Support for internal and external audits (e.g. year end audit, internal audits)
  • Performs account analysis, prepares account reconciliations, statements, and reports. Plans, coordinates and resolves accounting matters with other accounting department team members
  • Work with the entire Accounting and Finance team to develop the team to a BEST in CLASS
  • Contribute to ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and year-end close based on internal as well headquarter (HQ) deadlines

Your profile:

  • BA degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 1-3 years of professional accounting/finance experience required
  • (Retail/WHS/eCommerce) industry preferred
  • Must be able to work independently/take initiative
  • Excellent communication in English, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Must be able to prioritize workload
  • Ability to multi-task in a busy office environment
  • Detail orientated; self-motivated; fast learner
  • Proficient in all Microsoft office programs (especially Excel)
  • SAP experience a plus
