Description


This role supports the general ledger accounting for the department, with an emphasis on travel expenditures and related reporting. This role supports general ledger accounting procedures and helps to identify general accounting matters. Ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in their work. Candidate should also be efficient and flexible, organized, have excellent follow-through and show an ability to prioritize multiple tasks. This position reports to the Operational Controller.

Responsibilities


  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
  • Maintain timely and accurate general ledger records and reports
  • Assist with recording of bank transactions and reconciliation of monthly bank statements
  • Manage processing and reporting of company travel expenditures
  • Assist with accounting systems implementations
  • Other duties and projects as assigned by Operational Controller

What we require of you


  • Bachelors degree in finance and accounting, or any equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • 1-3 years of experience in general ledger accounting
