All about the role

We are looking for a Senior Accountant with a solid accounting background and interest. You will be a part of and work closely with your other colleagues in the Danish team of five people and you will report to our Team Lead Finance Controller, as well as have reference to the global Finance team. Together with the other Record to Report Teams, you will ensure stable controlling and reporting of Danish companies. Through a flexible approach and positive team spirit, we will support each other in the best possible way.

As part of this varied role, we’re counting on you to:

• Perform monthly balance sheet analysis and reconciliation and profit/loss reviews.
• Manage and process journal entries and ensure that all business transactions are recorded (accruals, intercompany transactions etc.)
• Performing Month-end close activities and ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial information and reports.
• Contribute to several projects within the accounting organization (IFRS 16, fixed assets accounting, new entities).
• Interact with internal and external auditors ensuring prompt response to audit requests.
• Performing and reviewing intercompany reconciliations.
• You assist with legal compliance processes (annual accounts, CIT declarations, VAT declarations, statistics etc.)
• Continuously drive for improvement in quality and efficiency in new processes and systems to enhance the workflow of the department.

• You are fluent in Danish and English.
• You bring 5+ years of proven experience in accounting, finance.
• You have a bachelor’s or equivalent degree in accounting.
• You have strong knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP.
• Self-driven, independent and takes responsibility, sleeves to get the job done.
• You have experience in resolving complex accounting issues and transactions.
• You are an expert in the use of ERP (experience with Workday is a pre) systems and MS Office (expert level in Excel is a must).
• High attention to detail with excellent organizational and communicative skills and ability to take charge, set objectives, drive to results.
• Positive attitude, collaborative, team player, and comfortable in a fast-growing environment that changes as the business grows.
• Strong analytical skills and work ethics, Ability to problem tackle and prioritize.
