We are looking for an experienced Accountant, who have a keen interest with accounting in a global company and wish to join our passionate finance team and work close with the business to achieve our ambitious growth goals.
GoGift is an exciting gifting company with global ambitions. Building on the former Nordic gift card market leader Gavekortet.dk, and now owned by Egmont, GoGift is ready to further increase growth, both in the Nordics and globally with a number of successful new gifting concepts.
Reporting to GoGift’s CFO and in close cooperation with 6 competent and positive colleagues in the Finance team, you will be handling all around accounting tasks. Therefore, possessing an end-to-end overview and taking a natural pride in quality is necessary to excel in this role.
Key responsibilities
- Handle international VAT processes incl. reporting to international VAT and TAX authorities
- VAT registration, notably for Germany
- Transactional processing incl. general management of accounts payable and receivable
- Management of financial accounting and reconciliations
- Ensure and liase all purchasing and procurement transactions with our vendors
- Ensure effective accounting processes and implement changes consistent with best practices
- Optimize and develop standard operating procedures
- Safeguard compliance with all relevant GAAP and IFRS standards
Qualifications
- Educational background in auditing with +10 years of experience within financial reporting
- Expert in accounting principles and standards
- Experience with VAT in a global company
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Independent problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical skills
- Persistent and thorough in the completion of all tasks
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and one of the Scandinavian languages.
