Pressalit is a Danish manufacturer of stylish, award winning, accessible bathroom and kitchen solutions; we also make high quality toilet seats. Our ambition is to improve the chances of independence for people with physical disabilities, and to offer safe environments for carers who might be called upon to provide assistance. This means that in many instances, we are supplying specialist adjustable bathroom and kitchen products that adapt to different user requirements.

Can you generate a project pipeline of sales opportunities?
As our new Project Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for generating a project pipeline of sales opportunities. You will chart the progress of these opportunities through the sales process and then land orders through our UK distributor network.

You will aim to sell solutions that meet either a specific need or the wider requirements of many people. It will be important to convince stakeholders and influencers of the merits of certain bathroom and kitchen arrangements, and for this, you demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Either working from home or from our Reading sales office you will need to be flexible and expect a certain amount of travelling to reach new and existing customers.

Develop profitable business with new and existing customers
The role comes with a large amount of responsibility and freedom, and it is important that you not only possess an appetite to seek new opportunities but can also manage your time well in a large geographical area.

Your primary tasks will include:

  • Working with Pressalit’s ‘Best Practice’ sales process, from initial qualification through to project implementation, employing Solutions Selling sales tools, and maintaining data in the CRM system in line with company guidelines and requirements
  • New business development - networking with relevant stakeholders such as building owners, facilities management and care professionals
  • Ensuring that clients receive high quality customer service, technical advice and after sales support
  • Where appropriate, presenting CPD seminars to architects and occupational therapists
  • Participating and sometimes planning of exhibitions and other marketing activities

Self-starter with excellent communication skills
You bring a few years of relevant experience within project and/or solution sales – preferably within healthcare and education projects, however, candidates from other sectors are also welcome.

We do not expect you to be a technical expert, but you are willing to learn about bathroom and kitchen design and installation. Experienced colleagues will provide training and support. You have the ability to engage effectively with existing contacts, and more importantly, to develop your own network of stakeholders and influencers.

Furthermore, we are looking for someone, who:

  • possesses excellent communication skills, being able to conduct meetings and present seminars (both in person and online) and write convincing arguments in letters, emails and social media posts
  • is good at proactively building and maintaining relationships
  • is result-orientated by focusing efforts on achieving measurable results and improvements
  • shows initiative by identifying and dealing with issues in a timely and efficient way and seizing opportunities that arise
  • has the maturity, empathy and sensitivity to be able to communicate effectively with people with disabilities and their carer
  • is structured and good at multi-tasking
  • is comfortable working from either the office, home or elsewhere remotely
  • possesses strong interpersonal skills, having a flexible and positive approach towards your job and a personable approach with your colleagues.
