2021 Sleep specialist Swiss Sense, a Dutch family-owned business, acquired the Danish bed chain Drømmeland to expand into Denmark. Drømmeland, founded in 1982, with a network of 25 stores in Denmark is specialized in beds and sleep-related products. The expansion into Denmark is part of Swiss Sense's international growth strategy to become a market leader in Europe offering high quality bed products at fair prices by combining a people- and data-centric approach. The acquisition increases the total number of Swiss Sense stores in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Austria, and Denmark to 128.
The coming year is focused on integrating Drømmeland into the Swiss Sense organization. Strengthening the culture and creating winning teams play a crucial role in this, because in Swiss Sense’s philosophy, the employees are central. It is a true team effort that makes a difference for the customer. In combination with Swiss Sense’s progressive approach, this forms the basis for the company’s success and further growth.
To make the dream come true in Denmark, Swiss Sense is now looking for two experienced Sales Managers
Working place: Eastern part of Denmark (Zealand).
Role
In this role, you are part of the local sales management team of three and will report to the board of Drømmeland.
Together with your colleagues of the sales team and the commercial departments, you will be responsible for further development and growth of sales. You will be working on building winning teams and implementing new processes.
Key responsibilities
- Ensuring the sales targets of the region (preparation of budgets and calculations in compliance with operational requirements, analysis of monthly KPIs) for the stores in your region
- Driving customer focus in in the region
- Building and developing successful teams
- Identification of relevant competitors in the region with target-oriented competition
- Development of regional sales strategies based on national sales targets
- Continuous optimization of the regional sales organization
- Execution of regional analyses & monitoring as well as coordination of regional processes
- Active participation in the planning and execution of store openings
- Stimulating team cooperation and further development of the store managers
- Leading and follow-up of regional sales meetings
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in retails operations
- Excellent communication skills
- Business-fluent in Danish and English (written & spoken)

- You have successfully completed a degree in business administration or comparable training
- You have an inspirational ability to drive customer focus and employee engagement
- You are a people manager and a team player
- You possess a solution- and result-oriented personality with positive charisma and play-to-win mentality.

About Drømmeland
Drømmeland is a Danish bed retail chain founded in 1982 and one of the largest sleep specialists in the Danish bed retail market, focusing on high-quality products offering a wide range of beds, mattresses, and bedroom accessories. The retail network covers 25 outlets across the country, a web shop and two distribution centres. The head office is in Bagsværd, near Copenhagen. By November 2021, the company employed approx. 90 people. This number is expected to grow fast due to the plans for the Danish market.
