Account Manager, Life Science Group

As an Account Manager, LSG at Bio-Rad Laboratories, your main function will be to sell various instruments, small equipment, appliances, and consumable products to a defined set of accounts in a designated territory. You work as part of a high-functioning team, including Field Application Specialists and Product Managers.

With direct report to Field Sales Manager, you will act as the principal Bio-Rad contact for each assigned account, and you will apply resources or direct team members to reach specific objectives or resolve specific issues.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
  • Identify and develop new opportunities by holding a high level of field activity
  • Perform field-based activities, for example, customer visits, seminars, and demonstrations
  • Attend training to increase product knowledge and improve skills
  • Perform activities and use sales tools aligned with the marketing plan
  • Monitor and evaluate competitive services, pricing, and other activities
  • Follow Bio-Rad´s selling process, including funnel management
  • Create activity plans for reaching the goals for your territory of responsibility
  • Support training of new Account Managers

Your qualifications are strong in selling products to the life science marketplace, or you might have good laboratory experience combined with a customer-oriented and selling mindset. Your background in life science, molecular biology, or related fields has given you strong technical skills to demonstrate instruments and consumables for research. Your professional and structured way of working gives you the ability to produce results while working on multiple projects under tight deadlines and to operate effectively with diverse professionals in a team environment.

Ideally, you have a university degree in molecular biology, life science, or another related field.

You are a highly motivated self-starter who is driven to achieve and exceed sales results in challenging and competitive situations. You have a keen ability to initiate contact and develop relationships with people and a proactive and creative approach to looking after the needs and concerns of customers.

Location: Home-based. Preferred Aarhus, Jutland, alternatively 1 hour drive from Aarhus.
