Do you have experience within the Video Management Software (VMS) industry? And can you translate competitor information into competitive intelligence for our sales organization, then we have a job for you.
As Competive Intelligence Lead you have one purpose, and that is to make Milestone’s Compete Program drive market success by fostering an intelligence culture that improves the behaviors that make us more competitive throughout Milestone.
You will work in a technology intensive organization among highly professional colleagues creating an ambitious yet still informal atmosphere. Collaboration amongst our teams is a key part of our culture here at Milestone, so ideally your location will be near one of our global physical offices, but you should expect some travel between the regions. You will report into the Global Sales Insights Manager located at the head office in Brøndby, Denmark.

Ensure collaboration
As a part of Global Sales Operations, you will primarily provide the sales organization with up-to-date competitive insights, that will increase the knowledge about the competitive landscape within the VMS industry. Secondly, you will ensure collaboration across the whole organization with the purpose of collecting intel and communicating the findings clearly and pedagogically.
You will use your in-depth industry knowledge regarding competitors and their products and participate in strategic projects and opportunities that provide global business value for Milestone. In the first period, you will help create the foundation to scale, which includes operational tasks, process mapping, system support, and securing a truly global knowledge-sharing set up across the whole organization.

Job Responsibilities
As Competitive Intelligence Lead, you will be responsible for:
- Gathering, analyzing, and distributing competitive intelligence throughout the organization
- Helping set the vision and mission for the competitive intelligence function in Milestone including making strategic decisions operational and execute on them
- The development and maintenance of our competitive intelligence tool
- Acting as sparring partner for the sales organization on specific (larger) deals, where competitive insights are needed
- Staying updated on industry trends by participating in selected conferences and communities
- Acting as subject matter expert on competitive intelligence-related activities and strategic projects
Professional qualifications
- In-depth industry knowledge
- Self sufficient with a can-do-attitude
- Strong stakeholder management and presentation skills
- Change Management experience
- Business process understanding and knowledge
- Strong business acumen and understanding of sales mechanisms
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Fluent in English, written and verbally
- Experience working with a Competitive Intelligence tool is a plus
- As the role requires travel and global presence, the right candidate must be able to travel at least 20 – 30 days a year
