As a market leader in Document Solutions, Canon’s document capture, content management and inbound process workflow software (saas / cloud and on-premise) bring data, documents and processes together to enable organisations transform digitally and achieve efficiencies.
The ECM Sales Development Specialist provides support across Canon’s EMEA region acting as Subject Matter Expert and Business Developer for Canon’s Information Management and ECM applications portfolio. The role is both an extension of the in-country Sales teams, as well as being the Canon Europe SME for the ECM area - connecting Sales & Marketing to support execution of sales enablement projects, opportunities development activities, customer engagements, sales pipeline development & market awareness programmes.
Develop sales
• Support Canon’s sales organisations across EMEA during customer engagements, tenders and business closing activities
• Define customer target group and market potential
• Create sales tools
• Create and drive sales communities of excellence focused on selling relevant customer applications (create and share best practices across (Europe)
• Ensure proper execution of the solutions Sales and business development Strategy in each National Sales Organisation
• Work closely with the Sales and Marketing team to create lead generation and communication campaign.
Develop the expertise within EMEA countries related to document, content and business process automation solutions
• Identification of customer business needs and challenges
• Definition of customer benefits for digital transformation
• Definition of customer benefits of working with Canon
• Customer target group definition
Increase visibility and credibility of Canon as a Digital Transformation partner
• Develop relation with main analyst firms and industry experts to promote Canon expertise and Know-How
• Participate to customer events as Subject Matter Expert
• Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing team to provide content and key messaging to be included in B2B communications
Strategy
• Make recommendation on what should be done to ensure continuous business growth of the solutions/Services sold
• Strategic prioritization based on customer and competitor insight analysis working with Marketing and Strategy
• Follow market trends and developments (Regulation / Competition, …)

• Extensive experience in selling and supporting Sales Development, particularly in areas related to Information Management, Document and Content Management, Capture and Workflow Automation.
• Exceptional communication, presentation and persuasion skills.
• Must demonstrate competence in performing, advanced networking & relationship development.
• Experience Working in a Matrix organization.
• Strong commercial acumen and sales enablement skills
• Ability to work closely with marketing & communication functions as subject matter expert
• Pan-European / Global mind-set
• Experience of driving and/or supporting international sales either direct or matrix
• English (written and spoken), other European languages an advantage
