At KMC, we have a focused strategy targeting continued strong growth within value-added food ingredients. To explore and develop our focus areas, we wish to add a Technical Sales Manager with a broad technical background and solid knowledge of the food or the food ingredients industry.
The position: The technical sales team provides technical service to food customers worldwide. The team counts 12 Technical sales managers, each covering a geographical market, and is headed by the director for Technical Sales. The work environment is based on teamwork and the sharing of ideas and knowledge for the mutual benefit of our customers and KMC.
Your job will be handling of customer projects together with the commercial responsible for your markets. You will identify solutions required by customers in your markets and furthermore promote new solutions and ideas to customers. The position involves cooperation with several stakeholders incl. Product Management, Business Development, Application Specialists, as well as our Commercial Managers and distributors/agents. You must expect up to 80 annual travel days.
The primary areas of responsibility
Your professional qualificationsL: You hold a degree in food technology or food science, and you have at least 5 years of professional experience generated within the food ingredients sector or the food industry. You are innovative, business oriented and have a clear understanding of what it takes to do product development and cost optimization within the food industry.
The candidate: You have good interpersonal skills and the ability to create trustworthy relations with customers across countries and cultures. You are good at getting new ideas, spotting opportunities and transferring these into products and business. You strive to further develop your skills and share your knowledge with your colleagues within the company. You are an enterprising and committed person who are able to develop and document in a systematic way just as you are a good communicator. You possess a natural ability to generate overview of complex data and are able to communicate a clear message to the end user.

- To develop a substantial project portfolio with customers within your area of responsibility
- Identify and present the most optimal technical solution to the selected projects
- Identify projects and solutions, conclude on tests and trials and present to customers
- Create and maintain contact with the customers’ technical key personnel, including technical follow-up on projects and activities agreed with the customer.
- Training and education of both customers and agents/distributors.
- Together with the Sales managers you make and maintain an ambitious business plan for the areas you are responsible for.
