THE TEAM

As a Technical Sales Manager you will become part of a great team that work closely together.

Today, the team consists of 14 Technical Sales Managers - hereof 8 in Denmark and 6 abroad. The team is responsible for technical support and implementation of ingredients-based solutions delivered to customers operating within the food manufacturing industry.

THE ROLE

The role as Technical Sales Manager is very interactive and you will be part of an existing network - in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, distributors, and subsidiaries. You can expect up to 60 travel days/year and you will work closely together with the commercial managers to focus on your specific international customer base.

The focus will be on building new customer segments and markets as well as maintaining existing customer relations.

A criterion of success is to successfully implement KMC ingredients-solutions in customers' applications and establish valuable relationships.

Essential responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate technical sales activities.
  • Be responsible for technical sales to selected markets and customers.
  • Implement technical ingredients-solutions in customers' applications.
  • Be the technical trainer and specialist to the customer base.
  • Prepare and execute the sales plan in collaboration with the commercial managers.
  • Document findings and make business cases to strengthen the technical sales activities in KMC.
  • Ensure optimal customer and product prioritisation.

You will be expected to take ownership and work closely together with colleagues across the organization.

EDUCATION

Appropriate formal educational background in Food Science or a related area of education.

Preferably min. 3 years of experience from the food ingredients sector or the food industry, working with technical sales, product development or application development.

LANGUAGE

Proficient in Danish and English at a professional and high negotiation level, both written and spoken.
