We are one of the leading incoming tour operators specialising in the Nordic & Baltic destinations. Our clients are based throughout Europe, APAC and LATAM. For our Copenhagen based office, we are currently seeking a Senior Sales & Operations Manager for Chinese speaking markets.

About the position:

This senior role priorities our higher-value client relationships. It is expected that you will travel to visit your clients from time to time and attend trade fairs representing the company and its values to your portfolio of clients. You are the first point of contact for these clients and have responsibility for their performance and satisfaction. Together with your clients you will develop authentic itineraries and create memories for their customers that should last a lifetime. The position is in our office in Copenhagen

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Understanding and developing a strong commercial relationship with clients and suppliers at all levels. Holding both high level and daily relationships within the client and supplier Being the trusted ‘go-to supplier’ for the client and supplier

  • Understanding the market, and the competitive landscape and pressures, and working with the client to grow their business and our business with

  • Meeting our clients’ requirements and matching this information with our product base to ensure that the best possible itinerary is planned and that opportunities for increasing sales revenue are maximised by suggesting additional services. Work towards improving the client-satisfaction and client-retention rates.

  • Creating touring itineraries with your clients, to gain sales and a competitive advantage in the (Liaising with the client and colleagues internally and with your line manager)

  • Ensuring price and margin of our offer is competitive and profitable, within the company's pricing

  • Communicating with our valued suppliers (hotels, coach companies, guides, restaurants) to ensure the tour runs smoothly.

  • Ensuring that the details of your portfolio of clients are effectively recorded in the company CRM and reporting systems.

  • Taking leading responsibility in the department and deputising for the line manager as appropriate to meet business needs and drive synergy with our teams in the UK and Ireland.

Required skills and experience:

  • Fluent in English is required for both positions. Knowledge of any Scandinavian language is a must
  • Fluent in Mandarin is required for the position in our Chinise department, both written and spoken
  • Solid knowledge of the Scandinavian market and type of products with relevant experience in a Scandinavian Incoming agency for minimum 3 years.
  • Having visited at least two of our Destinations.
  • Being commercially aware, able/willing to sustain commercial professional relationships
  • Being achievement focused, and/or sales driven
  • Being client-focused, friendly and diplomatic
  • Creativity: being able to develop new ideas, work with clients and internal stakeholders to deliver on ideas
  • Ability to prioritise and manage yourself and client requirements as well as team tasks / responsibilities

You should have:

  • A commitment to deliver results
  • A strong sales background preferably in the Groups or small groups division
  • A willingness to assume more responsibility and grow in your role
  • A desire to do your best for your clients and your team
  • Strong communication skills

Salary is according to qualifications, including pension and health insurance. There will be overtime, especially during our high season, May 1 – August 31. Overtime is compensated as free time.
