AASTED supplies complete processing lines, machinery and equipment for the chocolate, bakery, and confectionery industries around the world. Followed by aftersales and services, to provide our customers with flexible and tailor-made solutions adaptable to any requirement. Headquarter, HQ, is based in Denmark, but the working locations is in Germany.

Our new Area Sales Manager will play a key role in the growth and expansion of AASTED in Germany within the sales of machinery and equipment for chocolate and confectionary.

The role

As our Area Sales Manager you are responsible for the legal entity of AASTED Germany GmbH. This includes that you are responsible for conducting the business in the company and in cooperation with AASTED HQ, to act and make decisions for the company.

You will operate and develop AASTED Germany GmbH. You will be responsible for the company's sales and service activities both operationally and strategically while ensuring that the business is managed in line with the corporate strategy and values.

You will be responsible for Sales Managers and Service Engineers, within chocolate and confectionary. As we expand so will your team, you will therefore be hiring Sales Managers and Service Engineers.

You will work in close cooperation with your team and with support from HQ in Denmark.

In this role you will:

  • Increase market share and realize new market potential by developing new business relationships
  • Work on customers requests and ensure a competent and correct customer service, which includes that the right process technical solutions are offered to the customers
  • Follow up on project sale and contribute to closing project sale including contract negotiating
  • Budget responsible for chocolate equipment sales in Germany / P&L responsible
  • Participate in fairs and exhibitions nationally and internationally
  • Work with our product team to integrate key customer needs
  • Build and scale a team and provide leadership and direction to a high-performance team, including hiring and training
  • Create a stimulating and cooperative environment, where your colleagues thrive and the communication is open, honest, and direct, and at all times respectful.


Requirements:

Desired skills and proof of success

  • 5+ years of experience as a Sales Manager, KAM, or as a sales-oriented project leader
  • Experience within B2B and project sales of larger plants
  • Sales enthusiast; creating relationships with decision-makers and buyers
  • Excellent listener; understanding the requirements of customers and potential customers
  • Technical understanding
  • Experience in growing a team, you will hire the German team
  • Able to motivate and lead people
  • Experienced and independent decision maker who possess an understanding of what requires central approval
  • Proactive and passionate self-starter with bias towards action and constant prioritization.
  • Enthusiastic, flexible & adaptable with the ability to remove barriers & bottlenecks
  • Fluently communicate in German and English
