Summary:
As a part of the HQ Finance department, you will have a key role as Commercial Business Controller supporting the Europe Branded Division. The primary focus will be on analysis, reporting and general financial analysis to support the European markets.
The Business Controller must have a solid knowledge of finance and accounting, preferably with experience in consumer products and exposure to customer problematics, including pricing change and profitability analysis. As part of this process, you will work with the senior stakeholders and drive analysis of various business opportunities.
You will join the Finance department in the Group’s head office, reporting directly to our Head of Finance Europe. We like to keep it busy and have exciting and important tasks ahead of us while ensuring our team has a proper working-life balance.
This is a permanent position based in our head office in Gentofte, Denmark, and we are offering flexible working conditions when it comes to remote work. You can also expect some travelling (around 5-10 travel days per year).
What can you expect as a Business Controller at STG?
• Acting as a sparring partner by offering general financial support to commercial decision-makers
• Identify business risks and opportunities through analysis and by asking the right questions
• Analyze customer profitability – good understanding of the various profitability levers
• Customer price change calculation for key markets
• Support the preparation of KPIs and financial analysis used for Senior Leadership reviews
Your areas of knowledge and expertise (that matter the most for this role):
In addition to having a solid and relevant economic/financial theoretical background, at Bachelor’s or Master’s level, you should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in Finance from an international environment, preferably within FMCG.
Other skills to be successful in the role:
• Strong analytical skills with a passion for providing analysis and insight
• Ability to work with large volumes of data
• Preferred experience related to consumer products, manufacturing and exposure to product pricing and costing
• Good business acumen
• Passionate for business and process improvement and fostering a culture of sharing best practices
• Excellent PC skills and experience using financial systems (preferably Oracle & SAP) plus Excel and PowerPoint
• Demonstrated ability to perform in an environment emphasizing teamwork to meet deliverables
• Demonstrated capacity to effectively manage multiple and frequently changing priorities
