Sales Director / Chief Commercial Officer for Wheat Kids Clothing

Wheat is one of the leading Scandinavian brands within high-quality, sustainable, and fashionable clothing for children. Our clothing is designed with the utmost care, using only the best materials and manufacturing processes.

We are based on a strong design tradition and one of the most important design parameters is our unique approach to hand-drawn prints. We are a strong team of 40 employees and are based in our CO2 neutral office and showroom in Gen- tofte with solar panels, natural material choices, yoga and training studio and other good things. Internationally we have offices and showrooms in Hamburg, Munich, Oslo and London. Last year we celebrated our 20th anniversary.

Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Director / CCO to lead the commercial and sales functions of the com- pany and drive our sales efforts. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing global sales strategies that drive revenue growth and expand our customer base. You will also manage and motivate our sales team to achieve their goals and objectives. You will be a part of a management team of 4 and you will be working closely with our CEO on developing and executing overall growth strategies and with our Brand Director in strengthening our brand position in the market.

If your competencies, beside sales and strategy, also include other areas within operating and optimizing a lifestyle com-
pany, a position as Chief Commercial Offier is open as well. These areas could be supply chain, logistics and purchasing.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive commercial strategy aligned with the company’s business goals and objectives which is to become a leading global kids lifestyle brand
  • Lead, manage and motivate the sales team to achieve revenue targets and KPIs
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships to expand the company’s reach and customer base
  • Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitive landscape to inform business decisions and strategic planning
  • Be the link between the Creative Director and the sales team and analyze data to improve collection performance
  • Work closely with other departments, including marketing and product development, to ensure alignment and collaboration on sales initiatives
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial or sales leadership sales management, preferably in the fashion industry or a related field
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
