How will you make an impact?
As Expert Sales Support, you’ll be responsible for LSMS products within EMEA for the Biopharma/Pharma markets. You will be focusing on providing support across EMEA, as needed and act as application- and workflow-focused expert working primarily ‘hands-on’ to support customers, KOLs and early adopters and collaboration projects.
This role encompasses both the pre-sales process and post-sales support, with focus on pre-sales support and is expected to be a LSMS product-focused expert.
What will you do?
• Responsible for active contribution to the European and EMEA achievement of LSMS identified goals and financial targets, with immediate participation to the achievement of the sales support team goals
• Focus on supporting the introduction of new applications, workflows and products into the LSMS Biopharma/Pharma
• Acting as sales support expert and communication bridge between the Vertical Marketing Teams and the regional commercial and sales support teams
• Since business needs are constantly evolving, must be responsive to, plan for and embrace change
• Personally, responsible for identifying training needs and ensuring that professional capabilities and competencies meet the needs and requirements of the sales support team for the relevant product lines and markets
• Make adequate use of all implemented tools (e.g. SalesForce.com, AppsLab, quarterly personal KPI targets…) tracking all activities to develop comprehensive knowledge of prospects and customers and Thermo Fisher Scientific’s interactions with them
• This role is expected to participate in a matrix team which together will focus with the Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry Division (CMD) portfolio on supporting commercial growth in the Biopharma/Pharma markets.
Participation is expected in customer/prospect visits together with sales colleagues, product demonstrations, sales calls, technical advice and training to sales colleagues, application development, scientific events, customer support and field marketing within EMEA for markets mentioned.
The focus points might vary from individual to individual depending on their expertise and market requirements. Other activities and responsibilities not in the above list may well be required.
How will you get here?
Education
• Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or similar. Ph.D. and PostDoc experience from relevant technology and market required.
Experience
• Excellent knowledge of market trends and drivers, of KOLs, of significant competitors and their strategies
• Ability to understand and respond to customer needs, to translate their needs into relevant pre-and post-sales deliverables
• Several years of hands-on LSMS experience in the market
• Solid knowledge in Biopharma focused applications and workflows
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
• Positive and energetic personality, solution seeker, customer advocate
• The ability to work on own initiative, to priorities and seek support when needed, to meet deadlines and targets
• Strong Customer Focus Skills: track record of relationship maintenance with customers (external, internal) and KOL’s
• Must be flexible and prepared to undertake tasks as required
• Good interpersonal and self-organizational skills
• Driving license and willingness to travel extensively within EMEA
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills be capable of scientific persuasion
• Fluency in English, additional language skills are a positive asset
• Demonstrated capability to learn from both successes and failure
• Excellent interpersonal skills and proven capabilities of team work, of work integrating multiple stakeholders
• Evidence of capabilities to mentor younger colleagues, to share knowledge and experience
