What you will do
At Johnson Controls, we now have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as Technical Account Manager for our Security Systems division.
You may be based anywhere in the Nordic region, as you will work with our Sales team to secure orders and achieve business objectives in the region. You will target to have our Security Systems products specified by consultants and installers into their bids and projects, as well as develop long-term relationships with consultants, developers, and end-users to promote the sales of our products.
As a member of this team, you will work within a vibrant environment that provides a platform for you to use your experience to deliver our business objectives. You will report directly to the Director of Technical Account Management of the EMEA region.
How you will do it
In this role, you will use your in-depth technical knowledge of Security Systems products and work with our sales team, consultants, developers, and end-users on design and specification. You will collaborate closely with R&D, training, product management and technical support resources to ensure that proposals and feature requests include technical solutions that accurately address customer needs, in line with our product strategies.
A part of your job is also to attend sales exhibitions and trade shows as well as conduct technical training and seminars for consultants to improve their knowledge of our product portfolio and how it can be utilized to generate new sales leads.
Finally, you will also develop design, technical and marketing tools to support clients on existing and new products in order to improve forecast accuracy, maintain the record of target opportunities, quotes, projects, contacts, and correspondence in company approved databases.

What we look for
Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with pre-sales or sales experience in Security Systems products.
- Strong technical knowledge and experience in pre- and post-technical sales support for various stakeholders incl. sales, channel partners, consultants, distributors and end-users.
- Proficient in generating new business by using existing and potential customer networks and alliances.
- Self-starter, dedicated and result-driven mentality, able to continuously analyze & optimize performance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Flexible to travel across the Nordic region.
Preferred
- Understanding and application of the applicable EN standards.
- Experience in using Salesforce.
