Pharmacosmos wishes to employ a dynamic, customer-focused Sales Manager to continue the successful commercialization of Pharmacosmos' cryopreservation business in Europe and Asia, with sales as the core focus.

The role requires a higher understanding of the workflow in pharma/biotech companies and/or hospitals or cell laboratories, and exemplary sales experience. The Sales Manager will drive sales while managing key strategic projects to help customers meet their objectives and maximize PentaHibe® opportunities.

The Sales Manager will be part of the Carbohydrate Sales and Marketing team, which reports directly to the International Sales & Business Director (based in Denmark). The position is field based, with the option of working at the Pharmacosmos office in Holbæk, Denmark.

Responsibilities



  • Market and sell products - currently PentaHibe®
  • Organize and attend customer visits
  • Provide technical and product support to customers
  • Engage in the total customer experience to guarantee long term satisfaction and loyalty
  • Prepare and implement sales activity plan
  • Maintain customer data, showing visits attended, prospects, and other tasks.
  • Have the strategic overview of the European and Asian market as well as identify where the biggest potentials are for driving sales and increase market share
  • Maintain a network of contacts for knowledge of macro and micro industry trends, events, influences, and opportunities relevant to the Carbohydrate Business
  • Contribute to the competitive intelligence to share insights and identify opportunities, to help define product strategy, needed promotional tools and relevant sales projects.
  • Develop and maintain long term business relationships through regular contact with relevant KOLs
  • Attend necessary conferences and exhibitions


Professional qualifications & experience



  • Preferably Master’s degree or PhD in relevant scientific field (e.g., cell biology, chemistry, immunology, pharmacology, or medicine)
  • + 5 years Sales/Commercial experience within pharma/biotech, hospitals, or cell labs.
  • Business to Business Pharma sales experience preferred
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen
  • Language skills: Fluency in verbal and written Danish and English

Travel



Approximately 30 - 40 days travel. The rest of the time is spent at the Headquarter, Holbæk, Denmark.
