Service Service Commercial Management Parts & Repair
The Parts & Repair Services business area within the Global Service Business Unit works closely together with both the regional sales business units and global functions to increase market share of transactional services and support Vestas Services´ "profitable growth" strategy. In Parts & Repair we create and apply optimised commercial, technical and operational solutions in order to secure a competitive position for Vestas and at the same time maximize value and margins for our customers and for Vestas.

You will be responsible for the strategic planning, product management, and commercial performance of the Blades Services business segment within the Global Parts & Repair business area of Service Commercial Management. As Business Segment Manager, you develop and maintain a portfolio of products, support sales and operations planning, and drive business segment commercial performance along with the frontline Sales Business Units.

You will be interacting closely with Sales Business Units, external customers, supplier partners, and internal stakeholder functions to develop, influence, and support achieving business objectives. You will be driving the implementation of systems and processes to enhance customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and delivery of business growth and profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategic and tactical Sales & Operations Plan (S&OP) to support corporate goals and drive growth and profitability in the defined business segment
  • Collaborate with Sales Business Units and Group Service functions as a subject matter expert supporting sales, and provide technical sales support and value engineering guidance
  • Drive cross functional stakeholder groups to develop and manage a portfolio of products to maximize market capture within business segment
  • Develop and maintain strategic alliances with supplier partners to maintain leading edge capabilities in the broader market
  • Prepare regular forecasts, contribute to budget preparation, and drive profitability of the business segment, making regular reports to leadership
  • Ensure salesforce are properly trained to develop market penetration plans and deliver on growth objectives, mentor team, and identify training and growth opportunities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Sales or Marketing is required. An MBA degree is preferred
  • Experience in the wind industry or complex capital sales environment or similar, Blade Services subject matter expertise preferred
  • 5-8 years of experience as product manager, business development manager, or commercial management experience, preferably in a related service, industrial or power gen setting
  • 5-8 years of experience in technical sales, technical background, hydraulic or high-lifting/rotating heavy equipment is preferred; knowledge of technical drawings and schematics and technical expertise on blades is advantageous
  • Demonstrated success in understanding commercial terms, and negotiation strategy, balancing business profitability and customer needs
  • Excellent English communications skills (verbal, active listening, written, meeting management, presentation)
  • Strong PC computer skills (MS Office) required, SAP knowledge highly preferred

  • Capable of driving improvement in existing products and services to increase customer and company value

Additional information
The position will be in Copenhagen or Aarhus, Denmark. For the right candidate other Vestas locations could be considered.

Some international travel activity should be expected, approximately 50 days per year.
