EcoTree International ApS is looking for a talented full-time business developer to keep developing our commercial traction on the Danish market!

We're looking for a new inspiring Business Development representative to create commercial opportunities for EcoTree in Denmark. As a business developer, you will be the first point of contact between EcoTree and our commercial customers in Denmark, helping them start their journey to supporting and investing in sustainable forests in Denmark and across Europe.

You’ll play a key role in growing our client base by identifying target prospects, executing outreach, and owning end-to-end relationships with commercial partners.

About us

EcoTree is a Greentech scaleup on a mission to make the world a greener place by planting, developing, and managing sustainable forests across Europe. We started our Journey in France and are now growing in the Nordics and across Europe.

We make investing in nature easy and rewarding, for the planet and the pocket. Businesses (in fact anyone) can now own their own biodiverse forests, by owning their own trees. The sustainable management of our forests means that tree owners' support to biodiverse forests now will help protect our planet and pay them back financially in the future. Our world class carbon methodology means that we can help companies meet their Net Zero commitments at the same time.

EcoTree forests are in France today and we are launching our first two forestry projects in Denmark in 2022.

Companies around the world, and particularly in Denmark, are seizing the potential of our model and are excited by the journey that we’re on. We have over 1,500 corporate partners and 60,000 already individuals financing sustainable forests. About you

You have had some impressive professional experiences already. You may have helped clients to understand and solve sustainability challenges; helped private or non-profit companies address social governance issues in Denmark or otherwise; or played a key part in growing a business. You are keen to help our young company grow into a leading nature-based solutions provider. Your educational background reflects your interest in EcoTree.

  • +5 years of experience nurturing client relationships in B2B or other relevant settings, primarily in Denmark
  • An entrepreneurial mindset and business credentials
  • Ability to communicate effectively and drive results with external stakeholders
  • An interest in climate change and a passion for nature and preserving the environment.... and our forests, of course
  • A danish native and comfortable working in a multicultural environment
  • You are well organised, open minded and curious about industry trend.
  • Native Danish speaker. Knowledge of French is a plus

What you’ll do

  • Work closely with the Country Manager to identify new business opportunities, align on prospecting strategy and build your own pipeline of commercial partners
  • Create and execute outreach strategies
  • Qualify leads to uncover business objectives and needs
  • Convert client interest into financial commitments to support forests and other carbon sinks
  • Own the overall client relationships that you create
  • Identify and create opportunities to promote EcoTree in Denmark

Important information:

Starting date: ASAP

Remuneration: Depending on experience. Baseline salary and performance bonus.

Workload: full-time

Location: Our office at Boyesgade 4, 1622 København V.
